The Falcons are going against an Oakland Raiders defense that simply isn’t that good. Last week, fellow rookie quarterback Joe Flacco had a good fantasy day against this same defense. Expect Ryan to have an even better game in Week 9. Right now, he’s a definite fantasy football sleeper for the week.

RB Michael Pittman, Denver Broncos
Michael Pittman is banged up and is currently listed as questionable for the Week 9 game. But he was able to practice late in the week and should start the game and have a heavy workload. Against the Miami Dolphins, Pittman should be able to produce a nice fantasy football line.

WR Joey Galloway, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chance are Joey Galloway is going to have a breakout game at some point this season. This week against the Kansas City Chiefs is a good bet to be that week. Galloway is as healthy as he’s been since his injury and should be able to get a long touchdown in this week’s game.

TE Donald Lee, Green Bay Packers
The Packers are facing a very tough defense this week when they take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 9. However, if the Packers are going to have any success against the Titans, it will likely be with Lee finding room in the middle of their secondary. That is the one weak spot in the Tennessee defense, as illustrated last week when tight end Dallas Clark had a pair of touchdowns.

Roy Williams was traded to the Dallas Cowboys
Although there was only one trade on the NFL trading deadline, the deal of Roy Williams to the Dallas Cowboys will have major ramifications in both the NFL and in fantasy football. On Tuesday, the Cowboys completed the long rumored deal with the Detroit Lions by sending three draft picks to Detroit for the talented wide receiver.

Williams will join Terrell Owens in the starting lineup to give the Cowboys arguably the best wide receiving duo in the NFL. It might take a little time for Williams to learn the offense but he’s naturally gifted enough to catch on quickly.

Which players will feel a positive fantasy football impact following the trade? First of all, Williams just became a lot more valuable. He wasn’t having much success in Detroit and now he’s in one of the most high powered offenses in the NFL. Long-term, this is also great for Williams owners in Keeper or Dynasty leagues because eventually Williams will likely take over for Owens as the go-to receiver. Tony Romo will also get a bump up from this news. The trade should also help Marion Barber III because a more potent Dallas offense will mean more goal line carries for Barber.

On the other hand, the fantasy news isn’t good for everyone. While it would seem this is bad news for Owens, it probably isn’t too bad of news. He’ll see more single coverage, which should make up for the drop in targets. The players this will likely hurt most are Jason Witten, Patrick Crayton and Miles Austin. Witten will take a hit because he’ll now likely be the third option on most passing plays instead of the second option. Crayton and Austin will get much less playing time and their value will likely plummet.

Overall, the Roy Williams trade should be a positive for the Dallas offense and their fantasy football production. It’ll take the next four or five weeks to figure out the exact impact for each player.

Earlier this offseason, Brady said he was still injured and not feeling 100%. Brady was originally hurt before last season’s Super Bowl, in which the New England Patriots lost to the New York Giants.

To prove Brady’s ankle is feeling better, you can see this picture of Brady surfing in Costa Rica.
No matter what Brady decides to do in the offseason, he enters the 2008 fantasy football season as the number one ranked quarterback. Last season he had 50 touchdown passes and while he likely won’t do that again, he should have another big season.
