QB Shaun Hill, San Francisco 49ers
Hill has played well as the starter for the 49ers and this week San Francisco faces off against the Cleveland Browns. The Browns, who can at times struggle against the pass, are a good matchup for Hill this week. If you start him, you can expect one or two touchdowns out of him this week.

RB Najeh Davenport and TJ Duckett
Davenport is the big prize this week. He’s replacing the injured Willie Parker and should be able to be quite productive. He’s actually more of a touchdown threat than Parker was this season. Duckett is another great pickup this week as he’s expected to fill in the for injured Kevin Jones. If you need a running back this week, either Davenport or Duckett would be a quality start this week.

WR David Patten, New Orleans Saints
Patten has solidified his spot as the second wide receiver in New Orleans. With Marques Colston getting hurt in Week 16, he suddenly jumps to the top of the pack. Drew Brees has played very well the second half of the season and should look Patten’s way a whole bunch in the last game of the season. Sign him up if you have the chance.

TE Randy McMichael, St. Louis Rams
McMichael is coming off of a game in which he had a season-high six receptions. In Week 17, McMichael faces the Arizona Cardinals – a team that has struggled defensively as of late. McMichael has always shown a lot of talent and is always a threat in the red zone.

With the Jaguars up against the Oakland Raiders, Scobee is a really nice start this week. If you are in a championship game, you can rely on Scobee to be effective this week. The Jaguars have a sound offense and Scobee has been fine since missing most of the beginning of the season with an injury.

K David Akers, Philadelphia Eagles
Akers is a solid veteran kicker who has been good for a number of years. This year he hasn’t been as explosive as usual but he should see some action in Week 16. Against the defense of the New Orleans Saints, the Eagles shouldn’t have too much trouble getting into field goal range. Akers has been a little shaky recently but he should be good for some points this week.

D Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals have lost three out of their final four games. While they played really well to begin the season, the Cardinals have struggled as of late. That said, they should be fine this weekend against the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have been horrible as of late and the Cardinals should be able to take advantage.

D Detroit Lions
The Lions were talking playoffs not too long ago. Now, after six consecutive losses, those previous talks look humorous. The Lions in the playoffs? Who were they kidding? However, this week, the Kansas City Chiefs come to town. With Brodie Croyle at quarterback for the Chiefs, the Lions should be able to make some plays defensively.

K Ryan Longwell, Minnesota Vikings – While it’s tough to bank on offensive production out of the Vikings, this week should be a good week for Longwell. With Tavaris Jackson playing well and Chester Taylor and Adrian Peterson healthy, the Vikings’ offense is better than it’s been all year. Going up against the Chicago Bears with Kyle Orton at the helm, this promises to be a field goal battle. Expect at least two field goals from Longwell this week.

K Martin Gramatica, New Orleans Saints – With Olindo Mare out for the season with a dislocated hip, the Saints signed Gramatica to handle their kicking duties for the rest of the season. And honestly, this move is a big improvement for the Saints. Mare was only 10-for-17 on field goals this year and was virtually unstartable in the fantasy world. Gramatica, on the other hand, can’t be any worse and could flourish in an offense that is moving the ball rather well right now.

D New Orleans Saints – The Saints D has been playing better as of late. They still aren’t great at stopping other teams, but they are capable of making a big play at any moment. Against the Arizona Cardinals this weekend, they’ll have a couple shots to get a big play. While the Cardinals are decent offensively, they’re banged up and not firing on all cylinders. The Saints may be able to take advantage.

D Miami Dolphins - If you want a high risk, high reward defense this week, look at the Dolphins. Sure, they are winless. Sure, they are horrible. However, this week they are taking on the Ravens. No team has ever gone 0-16 and this looks to be the Dolphins best shot to win a game. Cleo Lemon is back at quarterback, which will help the offense. The defense is going up against a very average offense that due for a major letdown.

Scobee is healthy and kicking well. This week the Jaguars face the Carolina Panthers. While their defense isn’t as good as it’s been in recent years, the Panthers aren’t totally inept. That should allow Scobee to get a couple field goal attempts this game, at least.
K Ryan Lindell, Buffalo Bills
You can’t ask more a much better matchup than the Miami Dolphins at home. Lindell should get plenty of chances this game against the winless Dolphins. The Bills offense isn’t very good, which is always a kicker’s best friend. Look for three field goals this week.

K Josh Scobee, Jacksonville Jaguars
You can’t ask more a much better matchup than the Miami Dolphins at home. Lindell should get plenty of chances this game against the winless Dolphins. The Bills offense isn’t very good, which is always a kicker’s best friend. Look for three field goals this week.

D Buffalo Bills
To further take advantage of this great matchup against the Dolphins, consider picking up the Bills D. The Bills are still in the playoff race and really need to win this game. While their defense isn’t great, it’s going up against perhaps the worst offense in the NFL.

D New Orleans Saints
The Saints are another team who really need to win this week. With their playoff chances fading, the Saints are basically in a must win this week against the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons offense is pretty poor and while the Saints defense is also poor, they are capable of coming up with big plays.

QB Luke McCown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
With Jeff Garcia sidelined, McCown stepped in for the Bucs and played great in the team’s victory. McCown threw for two touchdowns and for over 320 yards. However, Garcia might come back this week from his back injury. If you pickup McCown, he’d be a decent start in Week 14 if Garcia isn’t able to go.

RB Fred Jackson, Buffalo Bills
Jackson had a very good game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday. He finished with 82 yards rushing and 69 yards receiving. In Week 14, he’d be a rather nice start against the Miami Dolphins. The bad news for Jackson is that Marshawn Lynch might return from his ankle injury.

WR Bryant Johnson, Arizona Cardinals
Anquan Boldin suffered a toe injury in Week 13, while Larry Fitzgerald was out injured prior to the game. Suddenly, Johnson was the number one receiver on the Cardinals. Heading into Week 14, it appears as if Boldin won’t be able to play and Fitzgerald isn’t a certainty, either. If one or both of those stud receivers misses the game, Fitzgerald suddenly becomes a quality fantasy football starter.

TE Desmond Clark, Chicago Bears
Clark has quietly become a fantasy option again. While Greg Olsen has gotten a lot of the tight end looks of late, Clark has been productive over the last couple weeks. After getting 61 yards in Week 12, Clark finished with five catches, 76 yards and a touchdown in Week 13. In Week 14, he’s a decent enough start against the Washington Redskins.

QB AJ Feeley, Philadelphia Eagles – The Eagles were expected to be blown out by the New England Patriots. But Philadelphia almost pulled the huge upset as Feeley showed he’s capable of filling in for Donovan McNabb. Feeley was extremely impressive and if McNabb stays sidelined, Feeley would actually be a pretty good start from here on out.

RB Adrian Peterson, Chicago Bears – With Cedric Benson out for the season, Peterson is a waiver wire gem. Not to be confused with the other Adrian Peterson, this Peterson isn’t going to put up great numbers but he should touch the ball enough for a fantasy team in need of a running back. An added plus is his ability to catch passes out of the backfield.

WR Keenan McCardell, Washington Redskins – The ageless wonder is up to his old tricks with the Redskins. He’s proving again to be a reliable target, this time for Jason Campbell. With many of the team’s wide receivers struggling with injuries, McCardell could be a solid play from here on out. Campbell is playing well and McCardell is one of his main targets.

TE LJ Smith, Philadelphia Eagles – Smith has some good matchups from now until the end of the season. His best matchup is in Week 16 against the New Orleans Saints. With Feeley proving he’s capable of filling in for McNabb, Smith should be fine no matter who the quarterback is. Earlier this season Smith was injured, but now he’s healthy and playing well.

K Josh Scobee, Jacksonville Jaguars – After getting hurt in preseason, Scobee is back kicking for the Jaguars. He had a big game in Week 12 and his leg look strong. The Jaguars are the type of team that can rack up a lot of field goals quickly due to their solid defense and ball control offense. If you need to replace an underperforming kicker, consider scooping Scobee off the waiver wire.

QB David Garrard, Jacksonville Jaguars – Garrard is one of the safest starts in all of fantasy football.
QB David Garrard, Jacksonville Jaguars – Garrard is one of the safest starts in all of fantasy football. He has to throw an interception this season and has at least one touchdown pass in every game except the game he went out injured against the Colts. Garrard also is a threat to run, as he has 138 yards on the ground this season. Against the Bills, he’s a great emergency start.

RB Ricky Williams, Miami Dolphins – Yes, that Ricky Williams. After being reinstated from his drug suspension, Williams will likely be back on the field for the Dolphins this week. There are reports that starting running back Jesse Chatman is dinged up with an ankle injury. If Williams gets the start, he’d still be a risky start but his track record shows he knows how to gain yards in the NFL.

WR Nate Washington, Pittsburgh Steelers – With Santonio Holmes out with an ankle injury, Washington could get a much bigger piece of the pie this week. Although Hines Ward will be the number one target for Big Ben, Washington will move into the starting lineup and should see plenty of passes thrown his way. Going against the Dolphins, Washington is a very nice start this week.

TE Bo Scaife, Tennessee Titans – Scaife and the Titans face the Cincinnati Bengals this week and should be able to move the ball offensively. Scaife has played well lately as he has 13 catches in the last three weeks. The Bengals are a poor defensive team and are historically week against the tight end. If you need a starter at tight end, pickup Scaife off the waiver wire and start him.

Donovan McNabb hasn’t been great in the red zone this season and the Eagles should find themselves in that part of the field often. Akers should be good for at least three field goals this week.

K Nate Kaeding, San Diego Chargers – Kaeding has had a horrible fantasy season. In a lot of leagues, Kaeding is back on the waiver wire. That’s a far fall since he was usually one of the first kickers selected in fantasy drafts. However, this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars seems to be a good matchup for Kaeding. The Jaguars are a good defensive team but their offense isn’t very explosive. This is the type of game where Kaeding can knock in a couple long field goals for the Chargers.

D Detroit Lions – While the Lions D has had a great fantasy season, many fantasy owners still do not trust this defensive unit. However, now is the time to put them in your starting lineup. Against Eli Manning and the Giants, the Lions face a quarterback who has routinely played poorly in the second half of the season. Manning and the Giants have a pretty good offense, but the Lions should be able to pick Manning off a couple times.

D Indianapolis Colts – A lot of people are down on the Colts D because of the loss of Dwight Freeney. While it’s a huge loss for the Colts, the Colts should be able to overcome it. That is especially true this week against the Kansas City Chiefs. Brody Croyle is getting the start for the Chiefs at quarterback and he’s been turnover prone in his short career. Start the Colts with confidence this week.

QB David Garrard, Jacksonville Jaguars – Garrard should be back on the field this week for Jacksonville after missing a series of games with a high ankle sprain. Although Garrard isn’t in an extremely pass friendly offense, some fantasy players forget how well he was playing before he got hurt. Garrard doesn’t have an interception on the season and has a quarterback rating over 100. If he’s playing this week, he’s a safe start because of the fact that he doesn’t throw interceptions and can get you yards on the ground running.

RB Najeh Davenport, Pittsburgh Steelers – Against the Jets, the Steelers should have plenty of chances to score touchdowns. And while Willie Parker has had a very good season to date, he only has a couple of touchdowns. Davenport, on the other hand, has three touchdowns and has run for over five yards per carry. With this favorable matchup, Davenport is a player you can pick up and start in an emergency.

WR Drew Bennett, St. Louis Rams – The Rams offense is looking better than it has all season. With that being the case, Bennett is a big red zone threat. St. Louis acquired him specifically to help them score touchdowns and Bennett is good at using his size to get open in the end zone. Against the 49ers this week, Bennett could very well find himself with a touchdown as San Francisco is in a horrendous slump.

TE Owen Daniels, Houston Texans – The Texans are finally getting some of their players healthy. Both Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson should play this week, which could open up the field for Daniels. Daniels, a second year tight end, has had a good season but has yet to find the end zone. This is the week that he could get his first touchdown of the year, especially considering he is facing the poor Saints defense.

QB Matt Schaub, Houston Texans – Schaub is a forgotten man in the fantasy football world. He started off the season strong but has fizzled over the last month or so. The good news for him is his number one wide receiver Andre Johnson is schedule to return this week, which should really help his fantasy numbers. If Schaub has been dropped in your league, he’s a very good waiver wire pickup at this point.

QB Jason Campbell, Washington Redskins – Campbell finally looked comfortable throwing the ball on Sunday. He had a season-high three touchdown passes and really looked steady. Although his wide receivers are banged up, Campbell is the type of quarterback that could get hot down the stretch run of the season and carry a fantasy team.

RB Chester Taylor, Minnesota Vikings – With Adrian Peterson missing at least this coming week and possibly longer, Taylor is a very good waiver wire pickup. He’ll get the bulk of the carries for the Vikings. Since the Vikings have little passing game to speak of, he should see the ball plenty. Taylor is also a receiving threat out of the backfield, so he can get you fantasy points in that aspect, as well.

RB Maurice Morris, Seattle Seahawks – Shaun Alexander has a knee injury and has looked horrible for the most part this season. With Morris in the starting lineup and receiving the bulk of the carries, the Seahawks offense looked much improved. Morris isn’t much of a touchdown threat but he should produce while Alexander is sidelined. There is even a chance he could remain the starter when Alexander returns if the coaches decide Morris gives the team a better chance to win.

WR Javon Walker, Denver Broncos – Walker was a star fantasy wide receiver last year for the Broncos but has battled a knee injury this season. However, Walker is expected to return at some point over the next couple weeks. When he’s back in the lineup, he should become a rather good fantasy wide receiver right away. If you have an extra roster spot and Walker is on the waiver wire, consider picking him up.

WR Mark Clayton, Baltimore Ravens – Clayton was a fine fantasy wide receiver last season but has been hobbled all year this season. Although he didn’t miss any miss any games, Clayton was too injured to provide much offense. However, in Week 10, Clayton looked to be back healthy. He finished the game with eight catches and 107 yards.
