Roy Williams Trade Rumors – Detroit Lions
Roy Williams of the Detroit Lions has found his way into many trade rumors since the end of the 2007 NFL season. Williams is a very talented wide receiver who some speculate may be on the move.
In 2007, Williams had 838 yards, five touchdowns and caught 64 passes. Williams missed four games due to injury. While it was a solid season, it didn’t compare to his numbers in 2006. That said, Williams played all 16 games and totaled 82 catches, 1,310 yards and seven touchdowns.
It’s not believed that the Lions are openly shopping him, but the team will likely …read more

1. James Laurinaitis, LB
Laurinaitis has all the tools to be a superstar linebacker in the NFL. While linebackers weren’t too common high in the 2008 NFL Draft, that could change in 2009.
2. Malcolm Jenkins, CB
Out of Ohio State like Laurinaitis, Jenkins has a chance to be a lockdown cornerback on the NFL level. He’s easily the best cornerback prospect right now.
3. Michael Oher, OT
Oher is a big, strong lineman who could be sturdy piece to build upon in the NFL. Oher is also the type of player who already has an NFL work ethic.
4. Percy Harvin, WR
Harvin doesn’t have great …read more

A couple years ago, Daunte Culpepper was a fantasy football stud. Nowadays, he’s looking for work somewhere in the NFL. The latest team to be linked to Culpepper is the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers, who lost Brett Favre to retirement recently, will be going with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback. However, with Rodgers’ injury history, the Packers need plenty of depth. That’s where Culpepper would come into play.
In 2007, Culpepper was on the Oakland Raiders. He had a few decent games but overall was a disappointment. In 2006, Culpepper spent a disappointing season with the Miami Dolphins. However, as recently as …read more
Pacman Jones to Cowboys – Fantasy Impact
The Dallas Cowboys and Pacman Jones were finally able to be united. The Cowboys completed a trade with the Tennessee Titans to send the controversial defensive back to Dallas for a fourth round pick.
What type of fantasy football impact will this transaction make in the 2008 season? If Jones is re-instated and wins a starting job with the Cowboys, he makes the Cowboys’ defense much more valuable in the fantasy football world.
While Jones has a lot of problems off of the field, on the field he’s extremely talented and a phenomenal athlete. If Jones gets an interception, he’s very …read more
Jared Allen Traded to the Vikings
While with the Kansas City Chiefs, Jared Allen led the NFL in sacks in 2007. With 15.5 sacks, Allen was a highly disruptive player on the defensive side of the ball. However, Allen informed the Chiefs that he wouldn’t sign a long-term contract in Kansas City, so the Chiefs decided to send him to the Minnesota Vikings.
In return, the Chiefs received a package of draft picks. It currently isn’t known exactly which picks the Chiefs received, however reports indicate that the Chiefs received first, second and third rounders in the deal.
With so many picks, the Chiefs will be able to …read more

While a lot of other players appeared to be in the mix about a month ago, Long had become the team’s first option in the last few weeks. After agreeing to a deal, the suspense was over.
Long will help the team’s offense immensely. He’ll start right away and he’s already regarded as an above …read more

Former NFL MVP Shaun Alexander was released by the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday. Alexander, who struggled through a mediocre 2007 campaign, will be free to sign with another NFL team.
Not too long ago, Alexander was a fantasy football franchise player. He was a top three pick who could be counted on to bring you big points on a weekly basis. Nowadays, it’s unsure whether he’ll be able to land a starting role in the 2008 NFL season.
As far as the Seahawks are concerned, they needed to move on. The fans had grown tired of Alexander and …read more
NFL 2008 Mock Draft – Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are an up-and-coming team that is looking at the 2008 NFL Draft as a way to find the final pieces to a powerful team. With a solid nucleus, the Titans are just a player or two away from being a true contender.
While Tennessee has a few needs, their biggest need is wide receiver. Quarterback Vince Young regressed in his second season in the NFL, largely due to not having quality wide receiving options. If the Titans can get wide out help, their offense will be able to move the ball without always having to …read more
