QB Alex Smith, San Francisco 49ers
Alex Smith was decent in his first start of the season against the tough Colts. Against the Titans in Week 9, Smith is very much a sleeper. He could be huge.
RB Ryan Moats, Houston Texans
The Texans were mad at Steve Slaton for his fumbling. They gave Ryan Moats a shot …read more

QB Chad Henne, Miami Dolphins
Although the Dolphins are coming off of a bye, don’t forget about Chad Henne. In Week 5, he was 20-for-26 with 241 yards and two touchdowns against a tough Jets defense. The youngster has a relatively high ceiling.
RB Laurence Maroney, New England Patriots
Fred Taylor had ankle surgery. Sammy Morris left Week 6 due to injury. …read more

QB Trent Edwards, Buffalo Bills
In two straight outing, Trent Edwards has produced at a very even level. Given his strong wide receivers and quality running backs, there’s no reason why Edwards won’t keep producing.
WR Mario Manningham and Steve Smith, New York Giants
Both of these Giants wide receivers are worthy of being on your …read more

QB Seneca Wallace, Seattle Seahawks
It appears as if Matt Hasselbeck will be missing another game in Week 17. In his place, Seneca Wallace could very well have a big game. He’s going against an Arizona Cardinals defense that just got destroyed in Week 16.
RB LaMont Jordan, New England Patriots
After missing most of the season with a calf injury, LaMont Jordan is back and producing for the Patriots. Although he’s not starting, he’s been getting goal line carries and the bulk of the carries when the game is out of reach. In the last two weeks, he has three touchdowns.
WR Jerheme …read more

QB Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Usually when you are looking for a quarterback, you don’t look at the Ravens. But right now, rookie quarterback Joe Flacco is turning heads. He has at least one touchdown in his last six games and has two touchdowns in three of his last four games. This week against the Cincinnati Bengals he should be able to keep those streaks alive.
RB Maurice Morris, Seattle Seahawks
Although Julius Jones has been the running back for most of the season for the Seahawks, he seems to have lost his starting job to Maurice Morris. Last week, Morris had 14 …read more

QB Marc Bulger, St. Louis Rams
The Rams are alive! Two straight wins and St. Louis looks like a real team. That is great news for Marc Bulger, who now has two legit targets in Torry Holt and rookie Donnie Avery. Bulger still has time to raise his level of play to become a decent fantasy football option.
RB Pierre Thomas, New Orleans Saints
With the news that Reggie Bush will miss at least a couple of weeks, Pierre Thomas now moves into a role where he’ll share carries with Deuce McAllister. While he may not get more than 10 to 12 carries …read more

QB Brad Johnson, Dallas Cowboys
If Tony Romo misses any action, Brad Johnson should be able to fill in decently enough. Against a poor defense, Johnson is a good start even at his old age due to all the offensive weapons at his disposal. However, be aware that Romo is necessarily out for Week 7 so you should still follow that storyline closely.
RB Dominic Rhodes, Indianapolis Colts
With Joseph Addai out approximately 2-to-4 weeks, Dominic Rhodes will step into a starter’s role. Although he isn’t as good as Addai, Rhodes runs hard and should be able to produce. He’s a decent RB2 …read more

QB Trent Green, St. Louis Rams
With Marc Bulger out of a starting quarterback job, Trent Green is the new man in charge. He has talent on his offensive unit so he may be able to shine.
RB Michael Pittman, Denver Broncos
For the third straight week Michael Pittman scored a touchdown. While the Broncos are using a three-headed monster at running back, Pittman is arguably the most valuable due to his goal line carries.
WR Brandon Lloyd, Chicago Bears
Although the Bears remain weak at wide receiver, Brandon Lloyd has emerged as their top wideout. He had a big week in Week 3 and …read more

QB JT O’Sullivan, San Francisco 49ers
With the Detroit Lions next on the schedule, JT O’Sullivan is a very good start. He started off the season shaky but stepped it up in the second half of his Week 2 game. He could become a good backup fantasy football QB.
RB Michael Bush, Oakland Raiders
The Raiders like to run the ball. A lot. With Justin Fargas going down with a groin injury and Darren McFadden favoring an injured toe, Michael Bush could be the starter before long in Oakland.
WR Muhsin Muhammad, Carolina Panthers
Not too long ago, Muhsin Muhammad and …read more
