Andrew Bogut, the Australian bigman for the Milwaukee Bucks, could miss up to a month due to a strained leg muscle. The injury occurred on Wednesday in the game that saw the Bucks beat the New Jersey Nets by a final score of 99-85.
For Bogut fantasy owners, this is bad news for a player who is having arguably the best season of his career. The 24-year-old former number one overall pick is averaging 16.1 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.44 blocks while shooting 56.5% from the field. All of a sudden, Brent Barry is one of the most popular players in the NBA. Teams are tripping over themselves trying to figure out a way to sign him.
How did Barry become a free agent? After being traded to the Seattle Supersonics along with Francisco Elson and a draft pick for Kurt Thomas, the Sonics made another trade that forced them to waive a player. Barry was the player who Seattle decided to waive.
