James Posey Sidelined Three More Games

James Posey of the New Orleans Hornets will be sidelined for three more games – and possibly longer. The 32-year-old forward has a sprained elbow that he hurt in Friday’s game against the New York Knicks. Posey had already missed one game due to throwing a ball at a referee during the Knicks game. James Posey to New Orleans Hornets – Impact

The Boston Celtics lost a big part of the their championship core on Wednesday when James Posey signed with the New Orleans Hornets. The Hornets signed the defensive specialist to a four-year, $25 million deal.
With Posey, the Hornets instantly become a much more physical team. They gain a player who has been in the playoff wars and has two championship rings to his name. Posey may start or he may be used as the team’s first player off the bench.

Fantasy Preseason Tips Off

After the first preseason game of the 2007-08 fantasy basketball season, things are starting to unfold already. The opening contest featured the Boston Celtics against the Toronto Raptors in Rome as part of the NBA Europe Live Tour.
It’s not important that the Celtics won the game 89-85, afterall it’s just preseason. However, some interesting developments can already be seen taking shape.
Toronto started Andrea Bargnani in place of Rasho Nesterovic, and free agent acquisition Jason Kapono at small forward. While this rotation obviously isn’t set in stone, it should raise the draft stock of Bargnani and Kapono just a bit. …read more
