Jason Richardson Traded to Suns – Analysis

Jason Richardson, formerly of the Charlotte Bobcats, is headed to the Phoenix Suns. Along with Richardson, the Bobcats sent Jared Dudley in a package that is bringing back Raja Bell, Boris Diaw and Sean Singletary from the Suns.

For Richardson, this should be good news for his fantasy basketball potential. Playing next to Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire and Shaquille O’Neal, he is sure to get plenty of open looks. Since the lane will be somewhat clogged with Stoudemire and O’Neal down low, look for Richardson to shoot a lot of three-pointers. That shouldn’t be a problem for him considering that he …read more

Best Fantasy Basketball Shooting Guards in 2008

Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
A serious candidate for the MVP award, Kobe Bryant was also a fantasy basketball MVP. He might not have scored as much as in past years but he was very solid all-around. In upcoming seasons, there’s no reason why Bryant shouldn’t be a top five pick.
Allen Iverson, Denver Nuggets
Like Bryant, Allen Iverson doesn’t score as much as he used to. That said, he might be an even better fantasy basketball player. His field goal percentage is high and so are his assist numbers. If you drafted Iverson this year, you should be happy with your investment.

The Best Three-Point Shooters in the NBA

Three pointers made is usually a very important stat in fantasy basketball. With that in mind, here’s a look at the best three-point shooters in the NBA by position.
C Al Harrington, Golden State Warriors
Fitting perfectly into Don Nelson’s offense, Al Harrington can play center and can also drain the outside shot. For big immobile centers, Harrington is a matchup nightmare. As gets morn comfortable in Nelson’s system, Harrington should continue to get better and better.
PF Rashard Lewis, Orlando Magic
With Hedo Turkoglu staring at small forward, Rashard Lewis has spent a majority of the season at power forward. Lewis was signed …read more

Top Ten Fantasy Basketball Players

I’ve crunched the numbers and over the last month, here are the top ten fantasy basketball players in the NBA:
10) Andrew Bynum, Los Angeles Lakers
Bynum has been a stud for the Lakers. He’s quickly becoming the second best player on the team and is showing huge potential. His fantasy numbers have been great as of late.
9) Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers’ superstar is getting it done, as well. Bryant’s scoring numbers aren’t as spectacular as they have been in the past, but he’s arguably a much better player now.
8) Jason Richardson, Charlotte Bobcats
Richardson has been a great addition to …read more

Top Five Hottest Fantasy Basketball Players

1) Chris Paul, New Orleans Hornets
Who else? Paul has been on fire as of late. He has been simply amazing for much of the season. He had an injury that slowed him down for a couple games but other than that, he’s been everything expected and much, much more.
2) Marcus Camby, Denver Nuggets
Camby is doing it all. When he’s not getting triple doubles, he’s pulling down boards by the dozens or swiping steals. As has always been the case, a healthy Camby is a player who can produce greatly in the fantasy world and real life.
3) Baron Davis, Golden State …read more

Fantasy Perspective: Charlotte Bobcats

The Bobcats are a team that a lot of league pundits have predicted to have a breakout year. Charlotte has a number of good, young players who seem ready to explode onto the scene. If the Bobcats can remain healthy, this is a team that could produce a number of wins and a number of quality fantasy players.
Here is a look at the Bobcats players:
Emeka Okafor
Okafor is the team’s best player. He’s a beast on the defensive end of the court and can score down on the low blocks offensively. While he’s not the best fantasy player on the team, …read more
