QB Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Usually when you are looking for a quarterback, you don’t look at the Ravens. But right now, rookie quarterback Joe Flacco is turning heads. He has at least one touchdown in his last six games and has two touchdowns in three of his last four games. This week against the Cincinnati Bengals he should be able to keep those streaks alive.
RB Maurice Morris, Seattle Seahawks
Although Julius Jones has been the running back for most of the season for the Seahawks, he seems to have lost his starting job to Maurice Morris. Last week, Morris had 14 …read more

QB Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens have actually turned it around offensively and that has allowed them to win their last three games. In that span, the Ravens are averaging 31 points per game. Rookie quarterback Joe Flacco deserves a lot of credit and with two touchdowns in each of his last two games, he’s a good bet to be productive in his Week 10 matchup against the Houston Texans.
RB Darren Sproles, San Diego Chargers
With the Chargers hosting the Kansas City Chiefs this week, it’s a great time to gamble on a big game from Darren Sproles. The Chiefs have …read more

Expect Ryan to have an even better game in Week 9. Right now, he’s a definite fantasy football sleeper for the week.
RB Michael Pittman, Denver Broncos
Michael Pittman is banged up and is currently listed as questionable for the Week 9 game. But he was able to practice late in the week and should start the game and have a heavy workload. Against the Miami Dolphins, Pittman …read more

Joe Flacco officially signed with the Baltimore Ravens and now has the opportunity to vie for the starting quarterback job. While Flacco is definitely the quarterback for the future in Baltimore, he’ll have competition in 2008 for the starting gig.
In addition to Flacco, the Ravens have quarterbacks Kyle Boller and Troy Smith on the roster. Boller hasn’t had much success in his career but he’s a veteran who has a lot of experience. While Smith is a youngster, he played well for the Ravens last year and his play at Ohio State showed what he’s capable of …read more

David Garrard, Jacksonville Jaguars – Garrard is getting overlooked as a quarterback who could possibly have a dominant 2008 fantasy football season. He’s a very smart quarterback who takes care of the ball. His wide receivers are better this season and he can also get you fantasy points on the ground. If he ends 2008 as a top five quarterback, don’t be surprised.
Troy Smith, Baltimore Ravens – While Joe Flacco is the long-term answer at quarterback for the Ravens, he won’t be ready right away. That is where Smith comes into play. The former Heisman …read more

With the 18th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens took quarterback Joe Flacco out of Delaware. The Ravens, who lost Steve McNair to retirement earlier in the offseason, desperately needed a quarterback and got their man in the middle of the first round.
While Flacco comes from a small school, he has big frame, a big arm and big talent. At 6-foot-6, Flacco has great size for the quarterback position. While at Delaware, Flacco showed a powerful and accurate arm.
The big question mark regarding Flacco is whether he can make the jump from …read more

1. Joe Flacco, Delaware
Flacco didn’t get much publicity while he was in college but he has been impressing scouts so far leading up to the draft. At 6-foot-6, Flacco has good size and is mobile enough to make it in the NFL.
2. John David Booty, USC
While Booty had an up-and-down career at USC, the he definitely has talent. With USC running a pro offense, he’s ahead of the game in that regard. Look for a team to take him in a middle round of the draft.
3. Colt Brennan, Hawaii
Brennan has struggled since the end of the regular …read more
