The Bulls have been looking for a legit center and may have found a solution in Miller. If he starts, his passing ability would be a great asset next to the athletes on the roster. His points and rebounding should stay about the same.

John Salmons
With Salmons, it’s all about whether or not he starts. In the last few seasons, Salmons has been very good as a starter. Off the bench, he hasn’t been nearly as impressive. Keep an eye on what Vinny Del Negro decides to do with him but he’ll probably start.

Andres Nocioni
The Kings could use a player like Nocioni. After losing Artest, the Kings were missing a physical player on the perimeter who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. Nocioni should see plenty of time in Sacramento and his stats should increase.

Drew Gooden
Gooden is another player who will live or die depending on if he’s starting. Things for Gooden might be a bit dicey because the Kings have a lot of young bigs plus Gooden is gimpy right now. But if he can get healthy, he could give the Kings somewhat of a post presence.

In recent days, there have been a few reports indicating that Ron Artest may be the next big acquisition of the Phoenix Suns. According to the reports, the Suns would trade the Atlanta Hawks 2008 first round draft pick to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Artest.

The Suns, who got the pick from the Hawks in the Joe Johnson trade a few years ago, would look at Artest as a quality Shawn Marion replacement. While Artest is a highly volatile and erratic person on and off the court, he’s a quality basketball player when he’s not acting crazy.

In the fantasy basketball world, this trade would arguably be bigger than the Shaquille O’Neal trade. First of all, Ron Artest would find himself in the run and gun Suns system. Playing next to Steve Nash and Shaq, Artest would likely become an all-around force. His scoring would likely decline but everything else would likely go up.

For the Kings, that’d open up space for a player like John Salmons or Francisco Garcia. Both Salmons and Garcia played well at the beginning of the season but have been relegated to the bench since the team got healthy. If Salmons or Garcia became a starter again, they’re fantasy value would skyrocket.

While this rumor remains simply a rumor, you should be prepared for the fallout. If you see that the trade has gone through, you should go and pickup either Salmons or Garcia if they are available and hope to strike gold on the waiver wire.

An important aspect of winning in fantasy basketball is to know when to trade away your assets when their value is at the highest. Players can be artificially valuable due to circumstances that may change with time. If that’s the case look to trade those players while they still have value.

Here are the top five sell high players at the moment:

Chris Kaman
Kaman is more of a long-term sell high candidate. He should be good for a while longer. However, if Elton Brand’s return is on the horizon, that’s the time to cut bait on Kaman. He’s not going to be able to put up the monster stats he’s putting up now with another dominant bigman taking up room in the middle. Enjoy his early season production but be prepared to trade.

Theo Ratliff
Ratliff is currently a great source of blocked shots and is chipping in with a good amount of rebounds. That said, Ratliff is a huge injury risk. He’s been injured for practically the last half decade. If you can get an owner to overpay for him, trade him away.

Leandro Barbosa
Barbosa is a guy who has put up great stats over the last couple games. While he’s a good fantasy player, his minutes might soon fluctuate once the Suns get completely healthy. D’Antoni has shown he’ll play his starters big minutes, which will leave relatively limited minutes for Barbosa.

Kelenna Azuibuke
With Stephen Jackson ready to return from his suspension, now is a good time to trade Azuibuke while his value is high. Jackson will get a spot in the starting lineup, which could very well be Azuibuke’s spot. You can risk it and hope that Nelson plays both players and demotes someone else, but the safer move would be to trade Azubuike for a more reliable option.

John Salmons
Salmons should be traded ASAP. With Ron Artest back from suspension and Beno Udrih in the starting lineup, Salmons is now relegated to a bench role. He’s currently averaging very impressive numbers, but those numbers are bound to plummet in his new role. If you can find an owner who isn’t aware of his situation, you might be able to get good value for him.

Dwyane Wade
Wade owners who survived the first couple weeks of the season without him have to be thrilled to get him back this soon. It was unknown when he’d finally be able to return. However, there’s bad news for Penny Hardaway and Dorrell Wright. Hardaway is about to be benched in favor of Wade and Wright is about to be out of the rotation completely. Also keep an eye on Ricky Davis, as he could see his time greatly reduced, as well.

If you are scouring the waiver wire for some hot pickups, here are a few players that you should target right now.

John Salmons, Sacramento Kings
With Mike Bibby sidelined, Salmons is putting up fantastic fantasy stats. If he’s available, run to your waiver wire and pick him up. He has another three months to play with Bibby out, during which time he should be able to put up very nice fantasy stats.

Damien Wikins, Seattle Supersonics
Wilkins is off to a very good start to his fantasy season. He’s always been able to score and now that he’s getting more shots, he’s scoring at a very good clip. Even more exciting for fantasy owners are his rebounding numbers (7.0 per game) and his assists numbers (4.0 per game).

Ronnie Brewer, Utah Jazz
Brewer has been a favorite on this blog for over a month and he hasn’t disappointed. He’s off to a great start both in real life and fantasy. He’s averaging 16.3 points and 2.8 steals per game over the first four contests.

Kelenna Azubuike, Golden State Warriors
Azubuike is fitting well in Don Nelson’s system. Starting for the Warriors, Azubuike is averaging 20.3 points per game on 65% shooting from the field.
