Jarrett Jack Joins the Raptors

Jarrett Jack, the point guard who has played for the Portland Trail Blazers and the Indiana Pacers, has officially joined the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors signed Jack to an offersheet worth a reported $20 million over four years, however the Pacers had a chance to match the offer. After the Pacers past, Jack became a Raptor.
Last year with the Pacers, Jack teamed with T.J. Ford at the point guard position. With the Raptors, he will basically be replacing Ford.

The Toronto Raptors are a mess. At 10-17, they are vastly underperforming their expectations. They’ve already fired one head coach and the players don’t seem to be responding to the new head coach.
All that said, they have some interesting fantasy basketball options. First and foremost is Chris Bosh. At the beginning of the season, Bosh was one of the best fantasy bigmen in the NBA. Team USA Wins Gold – Video

The Team USA basketball squad, called by many the “Redeem Team”, completed their mission by beating Spain in the gold medal game. Although the game was closer than expected, the United States prevailed to claim the gold medal.
With the outcome still in question, Kobe Bryant took over in the fourth quarter. He not only scored but he handed out a team-high number of assists. Helping Bryant close out the game for the USA was Dwyane Wade, who led the United States in scoring.

The Spanish Olympic basketball team has been accused by some for being racist due to a picture that was leaked onto the internet. Now another potentially racist picture has surfaced containing Spanish athletes.
This time the picture isn’t of basketball players but rather women tennis players. The picture, which has a caption regarding the tennis playing preparing for China, is reportedly at least a few weeks old.

TJ Ford Traded For Jermaine O’Neal – Impact

On the day before the 2008 NBA Draft, the Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers completed the offseason’s first big trade. The Pacers traded Jermaine O’Neal to the Toronto Raptors for TJ Ford, Rasho Nesterovic and the 17th pick in the draft.
