Turner has a good matchup and is running well.
2) Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
Peterson has talent will get a ton of touches.
3) Brian Westbrook, Philadelphia Eagles
Perhaps the most explosive of all the RBs.
4) LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers
Not as dominant but will still produce.
5) Joseph Addai, Indianapolis Colts
Good matchup despite makes him startable.
6) Ronnie Brown, Miami Dolphins
Tough matchup but could surprise.
7) LeRon McClain, Baltimore Ravens
RB by committee but should get touches.
8) Tim Hightower, Arizona Cardinals
Only a TD threat at this point.

Against a poor defense, Johnson is a good start even at his old age due to all the offensive weapons at his disposal. However, be aware that Romo is necessarily out for Week 7 so you should still follow that storyline closely.

RB Dominic Rhodes, Indianapolis Colts
With Joseph Addai out approximately 2-to-4 weeks, Dominic Rhodes will step into a starter’s role. Although he isn’t as good as Addai, Rhodes runs hard and should be able to produce. He’s a decent RB2 until Addai returns. Pick him up if he’s available in your league.

WR Shaun McDonald, Detroit Lions
Now that Roy Williams is a member of the Cowboys, Shaun McDonald is expected to start at wide receiver. While he’s not a great receiver, he showed that he has fantasy potential last year. Don’t start him on your fantasy football team right away but he’s a sleeper that could blossom later in the year.

TE Billy Miller, New Orleans Saints
If Jeremy Shockey misses another week, consider picking up and starting Billy Miller. Miller is getting a good amount of looks from Drew Brees and has performed pretty well. Another week in the starting lineup could spell a big day and perhaps a touchdown for Miller.

2. Adrian Peterson – He has as much upside as any player in 2008.
3. Steven Jackson – Struggled in 2007 but should bounce back.
4. Brian Westbrook – Only injury concerns keeps him from top three.
5. Joseph Addai – Role should get even bigger this year for Colts.
6. Marion Barber III – Touchdown should be plentiful in 2008.
7. Larry Johnson – Can he bounce back and become a force?
8. Clinton Portis – Portis is underrated and could shine again.
9. Frank Gore – Mike Martz makes Gore a riskier pick than usual.
After a disappointing season in Oakland, Rhodes will be going back to Indianapolis. The last time Rhodes was in a Colts uniform, he was helping the team win the 2006 Super Bowl.

Rhodes will partner with Joseph Addai, who he partnered with and had great success in 2006. In 2006, Rhodes had 641 yards and five touchdowns. Last year with the Raiders, Rhodes had 302 yards and one touchdown.

While there’s a chance that he can once again put up stats like he did in 2006, he’ll have competition in the backfield. Besides Addai, the Colts are returning Kenton Keith, who had success last year playing a Rhodes’ type role. Additionally, the team drafted Mike Hart in the sixth road of the draft.

At 29-years-old, there is also reason to worry about Rhodes’ age slowing him down a little bit. There’s also a good chance that Addai will get a bigger bulk of the carries compared to 2006. All told, Rhodes will be a low round fantasy football draft pick. He’d best be selected as a handcuff to Addai at this point. And even then, you should first pick sure he beats out Hart and Keith for the backup job.

During the three games on Thanksgiving, a few players stood out – for good reasons and bad. While you digest your turkey, here’s a look at two players whose stock are on the rise after their play on Thanksgiving:

Kevin Jones, Detroit Lions
Even though the Lions lost, Jones looks to be back on the right track. After a pair of horrible outings in his last two contests, Jones put together a nice game against the Green Bay Packers – one of the best defenses against the run. Jones finished with 120 total yards and a touchdown on 20 rushes and two receptions. Although the Lions have a tough upcoming schedule, Jones showed enough promise to send his stock back on the rise.

Kenton Keith, Indianapolis Colts
After Joseph Addai left with a neck injury in the first half, Keith against proved that he’s capable of carrying the load for the Colts. He ran for 74 yards on 17 carries, for a healthy average of 4.4 yards per rush. Although Addai returned to the game and later got a touchdown, Addai is proving to be less than durable. If he goes down injured, Keith becomes one of the most valuable players in fantasy football.

Here’s a look at two players whose stocks fell on Thanksgiving:

Kellen Clemens, New York Jets
A lot of people in the fantasy football world labeled Clemens as a sleeper for the stretch run of the season. Instead, Clemens looked inept against the mediocre pass defense of the Dallas Cowboys. He completed just 12-of-27 pass attempts for 142 yards and an interception. If Clemens can’t produce against the Cowboys, you might as well hold him out until he proves that he’s worth anything in fantasy football.

Roy Williams, Detroit Lions
Williams came into this NFL with many pundits predicting that this would be his breakout season. That doesn’t really look like it’s going to be the case. There are a multitude of problems that likely won’t allow Williams to become elite. First of all, the offense isn’t as high-powered as many thought it would be this season. Secondly, there are too many quality receivers, including the highly touted Calvin Johnson. And finally, it just doesn’t appear that Williams has the inner drive to be great. He could prove us wrong but for the time being, Williams doesn’t have the look of an top-notch wide receiver.

QB Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys - Romo has been a very good fantasy quarterback this season. He’s no doubt top five at position. That said, it may be time to start to look at trading him. If you look at his numbers, he has had three average weeks in a row. Against the Vikings in Week 7, he didn’t have the fantasy production many expected against Minnesota’s weak pass defense. If you can trade Romo to an owner who hasn’t realized that Romo has cooled off, you could get more in return than he is actually worth.

RB Joseph Addai - This is a risky sell high because Addai has been very good and should continue to be a top running back in fantasy football. However, this past week has to worry Addai owners. For the first time this season, Addai was in an obvious running back by committee with his backup Kenton Keith. If Keith keep stealing carries away from Addai, that’ll drastically lower Addai’s value. By trading him now, you may be able to find an owner who isn’t aware of Addai’s current situation.

WR Steve Smith – Coming off his bye week, Smith last played in Week 6 and had 151 total yards and a touchdown. However, reports out of Carolina indicate that David Carr could be back in charge of the Panthers’ offense this week. If that’s the case, that’s actually bad news for Smith. Carr and Smith don’t seem to have much of a chemistry, which could end up rapidly lowering Smith’s value. By trading him now, you can get very good value from Smith without having to depend on Carr figuring out how to get him the football.

Williams injured his knee in a gruesome manner and early reports are that he’s out for the rest of the season. If that is true, that’s a huge blow to not only Tampa Bay but fantasy owners who had Cadillac on their team. The Bucs will go with either Michael Pittman or Earnest Graham at running back from with Williams sidelined.

Marvin Harrison
Harrison isn’t a name you often see on injury reports but he sustained a leg injury against the Broncos. As it stands, his status for Week 5 is unknown. If he misses time, expect more production out of Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark and rookie Anthony Gonzalez.

LaMont Jordan
Jordan injured his back and he was still hurting after the game. The Raiders have a bye next week but it’s uncertain if that’ll be enough time for Jordan to recover. If he doesn’t, expect Justin Fargas and Dominic Rhodes to carry the load.

Joseph Addai
Addai suffered what is being called a bruised shoulder. If he misses any time, Kenton Keith will fill in for Addai. Keep an eye on this situation throughout the week.

Alex Smith
Smith, the starting quarterback for the 49ers, is reportedly out for Week 5 with a separated shoulder. In his place, expect Trent Dilfer to get the start. Dilfer was less than impressive in his relief effort and shouldn’t be making many fantasy rosters anytime soon.

Isaac Bruce
Bruce’s status is uncertain for week five after straining his hamstring against the Cowboys. If it’s a serious hamstring pull, this could become a nagging injury for Bruce.
