Sleepers – Top Fantasy Football Sleepers 2008

Sleepers – Top Fantasy Football Sleepers 2008

Fantasy Quarterback Sleeper
Kurt Warner, Arizona Cardinals – Kurt Warner has 27 touchdown passes last season, even though he entered the season as the backup to Matt Leinart. This season, Warner enters the season as the starter and could get 30+ touchdown passes. However, keep Leinart on your team because Warner tends to be fragile.
Fantasy Running Back Sleeper
Selvin Young, Denver Broncos
While you can expect Selvin Young to have to split carries, he’s a player who could very easily finish 2008 with 1,200+ rushing yards. His touchdowns might not come as regularly as you’d like but he should be …read more

Kickers Fantasy Sleepers in 2008

Josh Scobee, Jacksonville Jaguars – Scobee battled injuries in 2007 but when he was healthy, he made more than 90% of his field goal attempts. In 2008, Scobee will be in a very good situation in Jacksonville’s offense. Look for him to be the surprise kicker in this upcoming fantasy football season.
Kris Brown, Houston Texans – The Texans showed signs of life last season offensively and that should carry over to 2008. Kris Brown usually isn’t considered a fantasy football sleeper candidate but he could surprise many fantasy owners in 2008 as long as the Texans’ offense …read more

Josh Scobee, Jacksonville Jaguars
After spending much of 2007 out injured, many fantasy football owners will ignore Scobee in their 2008 draft preparations. That would be a mistake. He’s kicking for a team with a solid offense and when he returned late in the season, he made 12-of-13 field goal attempts.
Nate Kaeding, San Diego Chargers
Nate Kaeding had a really quiet fantasy season last year. But going forward, Kaeding is a very talented kicker who should be around the league for a long time. …read more

Waiver Wire Kickers and Defenses

K Josh Scobee, Jacksonville Jaguars
Scobee is healthy and kicking well. This week the Jaguars face the Carolina Panthers. While their defense isn’t as good as it’s been in recent years, the Panthers aren’t totally inept. That should allow Scobee to get a couple field goal attempts this game, at least.
K Ryan Lindell, Buffalo Bills
You can’t ask more a much better matchup than the Miami Dolphins at home. Lindell should get plenty of chances this game against the winless Dolphins. The Bills offense isn’t very good, which is always a kicker’s best friend. Look for three field goals this week.
D Buffalo …read more

Week 13: Waiver Wire Pickups

QB AJ Feeley, Philadelphia Eagles – The Eagles were expected to be blown out by the New England Patriots. But Philadelphia almost pulled the huge upset as Feeley showed he’s capable of filling in for Donovan McNabb. Feeley was extremely impressive and if McNabb stays sidelined, Feeley would actually be a pretty good start from here on out.
RB Adrian Peterson, Chicago Bears – With Cedric Benson out for the season, Peterson is a waiver wire gem. Not to be confused with the other Adrian Peterson, this Peterson isn’t going to put up great numbers but he should touch the ball …read more
