James Posey Sidelined Three More Games

James Posey of the New Orleans Hornets will be sidelined for three more games – and possibly longer. The 32-year-old forward has a sprained elbow that he hurt in Friday’s game against the New York Knicks. Posey had already missed one game due to throwing a ball at a referee during the Knicks game. Hornets to Extend Byron Scott – Fantasy Impact

After leading the New Orleans Hornets to a game seven against the defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Semi-Finals, Byron Scott is going to be rewarded with a new contract extension. While he hasn’t officially signed the extension yet, that appears to be just a formality at this point.
Scott, who was named the 2007-08 NBA Coach of the Year, did a wonderful job with the Hornets. He gave Chris Paul room to grow and do whatever he wanted offensively. Paul responded by finishing second in the MVP voting behind Kobe Bryant. Other …read more

Taking A Look At Youngsters

More preseason games, more players to observe for fantasy potential. With six games on the schedule on Wednesday, there were a lot of players to look at. Here are some young players who stood out:
Julian Wright, New Orleans Hornets
While all indications point to Wright coming off the bench for the Hornets, it’s hard to ignore what he’s doing in preseason. In Wednesday’s game against the Pacers, Wright had eight points, ten rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal in 26 minutes.
