Even though Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls is a 20-year-old rookie, he’s already a valuable fantasy basketball contributor. And as we can see in the video below, he’s capable of exciting his home crowd by throwing down big dunks.
Rose surprised some by being the starting point guard right away for the Bulls. With news that Kirk Hinrich is out for three months following a thumb injury, Rose’s stock will rise even more. There is no reason for Rose not to average between 32 and 35 minutes per game now.
Although he’s still a bit raw, he has a lot of …read more

Since winning the NBA draft lottery, many have tried to figure out who the Chicago Bulls should draft. Should they draft Michael Beasley who is fresh off of one of the best freshman seasons in college basketball history? Should they draft Derrick Rose who could be the best point guard prospect in years? Should they draft OJ Mayo who came into the season as the top regarded player entering college basketball?
While Beasley is tempting due to his potential and how he performed in his freshman season, he’s not the answer. The Bulls already have a lot …read more

If the Chicago Bulls were to hire Mike D’Antoni as their head coach, how would that affect the fantasy basketball world? The short answer is that wherever D’Antoni ends up, expect the players on his new team to become very good fantasy basketball players.
While D’Antoni’s days with the Phoenix Suns appear to be numbered, there are a number of teams that are interested in him. The team that reportedly has the most interest is the Bulls, however the New York Knicks are also said to be interested.

Nursing an ankle injury, Kirk Hinrich sat out against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. The Chicago Bulls could have used him, as the Spurs walloped the Bulls 102-80. Chicago’s offense looked putrid and their defense wasn’t much better.
After the game, Hinrich said the injury shouldn’t keep him sidelined long. In fact, he expects to suit up soon.
“It kind of swelled up on me the last couple of days,” Hinrich told the Chicago Sun Times. “I just wasn’t moving very well on it. I just couldn’t move when I tried to warm up.”
“I feel like I could go, but I …read more
Disappointing Studs in Fantasy Basketball

There are a number of players who were highly ranked in the preseason who have underperformed to start the season. Are these players busts or simply off to a slow start? Let’s take a look at some of these players:
Pau Gasol, Memphis Grizzlies
Gasol’s numbers are down across the board. If you drafted him, you are probably mad about his production – or lack thereof. While it’s not guaranteed that he’ll eventually bounce back, the good news is that he’s playing better as of late.
Chris Bosh, Toronto Raptors
Bosh, like Gasol, has seen his numbers go down in virtually all …read more

I’ll take a look at some Week 1 busts and breakdown whether there is any hope for the player as the season progresses.
Kirk Hinrich, Chicago Bulls
Hinrich has been horrible over his first four games. He seemingly can’t do anything right and is a big reason why the Bulls sit at 0-4. Is there hope? Yes. He’ll be fine. Consider it a mini-slump that he’ll get over within a few games.
Charlie Villanueva, Milwaukee Bucks
Villanueva has been shooting the ball horribly and still can’t seem to get back into the flow that he had as a rookie. Is there hope? …read more
