Kobe Bryant, USA
When Team USA got in trouble, Kobe Bryant took over and got the Gold Medal for the United States. Kobe was lights out down the stretch of the game. His four-point play was the turning point of the game.

Can Argentina Repeat as Olympic Champions?

Argentina is entering the 2008 Beijing Olympics hoping to win their second consecutive gold medal in basketball. In 2004, Argentina was led by Manu Ginobili to an improbable Olympic championship.
Today, the Olympics had their opening ceremonies. Manu Ginobili was chosen to carry the flag from Argentina. If Argentina is to win another gold in basketball, Manu Ginobili will once again need to carry the team. It’s more unlikely this year but Argentina isn’t a team to ever count out.
