WR Marques Colston, New Orleans Saints
Although he’s had a disappointing season on the whole, Marques Colston came up big in Week 16 of the fantasy football season. He finished the game against the Detroit Lions with two touchdowns, 99 receiving yards and nine catches. The nine receptions were a season-high and he doubled his touchdown total on the season with those two TDs.

TE Visanthe Shiancoe, Minnesota Vikings
If you started Vishanthe Shiacoe, you are one happy fantasy football owner. The Vikings’ tight end had two touchdowns, 136 receiving yards and seven receptions. With this huge game, Shiancoe has officially elevated himself to stud status on the tight end market.

If Colston does start, he is a must play in all formats. Colston’s presence also helps Drew Brees and makes Brees an even better fantasy football starter in Week 6.

Colton’s return does hurt a few players in the fantasy world, namely Devery Henderson and Lance Moore. Brees will always look to Colston first if he’s in the game, which hurts the value of Henderson and Moore. Moore may still be a decent start since he’s a favorite target of Brees on third downs.

Keep an eye on Marques Colston early in the day to get an injury update in regards to a final word on whether or not he’s playing in Week 6 for the New Orleans Saints.

QB Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Going up against the Oakland Raiders, Drew Brees should have a good game in Week 6. You can expect him to be pass happy and he will likely finish with at least two touchdowns. He looks even like a better start with Marques Colston and Jeremy Shockey possibly returning.
RB Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
Coming into the season, many fantasy football owners thought Adrian Peterson would be the best running back of 2008. Coming into the season, many fantasy football owners thought Adrian Peterson would be the best running back of 2008. Although he hasn’t been dominant all season, he’s starting to elevate his game. Going forward, it appears as if Peterson is the best RB to have on your fantasy roster.

WR Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals
With the Dallas Cowboys’ secondary far from 100%, the Cardinals should be able to get things done through the air. Larry Fitzgerald should be the leading recipient and could have a huge Week 6. Fitzgerald has always been a long ball threat but he’s now even dominating as a possession receiver.

TE Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Each and every week, Jason Witten is seemingly the best tight end play. Again in Week 6, there’s no one better to have on your side. Tony Romo should look for Witten early and often against the Cardinals.

WR Steve Breaston, Arizona Cardinals
With Anquan Boldin getting injured in Week 4, Steve Breaston will likely move into a starting gig for as long as Boldin is out. In the high-powered Cardinals offense, that is a very good thing.

WR Lance Moore, New Orleans Saints
Marques Colston and Jeremy Shockey are injured and David Patten isn’t 100%. Lance Moore has now emerged as one of the players who Drew Brees will feature in New Orleans.

TE Dustin Keller, New York Jets
For the second consecutive week, Dustin Keller scored a touchdown. Even though he’s headed into a bye week, Keller is a tight end to keep an eye on.

Colston has been one of the NFL’s best stories in recent years. A seventh round draft pick, Colston has produced more than 2,200 yards and 19 touchdowns in his two NFL seasons. He heads into year number three as the team’s leading pass catching target.

While his numbers from sophomore season were a bit down from his rookie season numbers, expect Colston to bounce back in 2008. His ceiling is very high and could easily end up as one of the very best wide receivers in 2008 fantasy football.

Colston should also be helped by the Saints’ addition of Jeremy Shockey. Shockey will take away some of the pressure and allow Colston to see one-on-one coverages.
