Shaun Hill is now the starting quarterback in San Francisco and makes for a very fine Week 9 Waiver Wire pickup. With Mike Martz still with the 49ers, you can expect the team to throw the ball a lot. A possible first round draft pick, Davis is arguably the best tight end prospect in the 2008 NFL Draft. He’s athletic and quick with good speed, although he could afford to get a big stronger.

2. Martin Rucker, Missouri
Rucker isn’t very big nor is he very fast but he’s a very solid football player. He’s the type of player who can come up with the big catch when it’s needed most. He’ll need to get stronger to truly flourish in the NFL, though.
