It took a while for Shaun Hill to get his shot this season but he’s been very productive as a starter. Fantasy football owners looking for an emergency starting quarterback would be wise to look Hill’s way. He doesn’t have a big arm or great weapons — but the bottom line is that he’s a productive fantasy player.

Waiver Wire Week 9 – Fantasy Football

QB Shaun Hill, San Francisco 49ers
Shaun Hill is now the starting quarterback in San Francisco and makes for a very fine Week 9 Waiver Wire pickup. With Mike Martz still with the 49ers, you can expect the team to throw the ball a lot. Hill was somewhat effective last season and has a chance to become a decent backup for the rest of the fantasy football season.

2008 NFL Draft – Tight End Prospects

1. Fred Davis, USC
A possible first round draft pick, Davis is arguably the best tight end prospect in the 2008 NFL Draft. He’s athletic and quick with good speed, although he could afford to get a big stronger.

2. Martin Rucker, Missouri
Rucker isn’t very big nor is he very fast but he’s a very solid football player. He’s the type of player who can come up with the big catch when it’s needed most. He’ll need to get stronger to truly flourish in the NFL, though.
