RB Sammy Morris, New England Patriots
With Fred Taylor sidelined following ankle surgery, Sammy Morris has emerged as the running back to own on the Patriots. He’s getting carries and catches out of the backfield.

WR Miles Austin, Dallas Cowboys
Miles Austin had a game to remember — 250 receiving yards and two touchdowns. With the passing game struggling, the Cowboys may look to Austin more and more starting in Week 6.

TE Visanthe Shiancoe, Minnesota Vikings
Quietly, Visanthe Shiancoe now has three touchdowns this season. This week, he played arguably his best game of the season. Pick him up off the waiver wire if he is available.

RB Mike Bell, New Orleans Saints
With Pierre Thomas out for Week 1, Mike Bell could see a lot of work. While Reggie Bush is going to start, expect Bell to get a healthy number of touches.

WR Brandon Marshall, Denver Broncos
Even though Brandon Marshall has had a ton of drama circling him as of late, it appears likely that he’ll play in Week 1. If he does, don’t hesitate to start him.

TE Visanthe Shiancoe, Minnesota Vikings
In Brett Favre’s first game with the Vikings, he may play it a bit conservative. If so, expect a lot of action for Visanthe Shiancoe.

QB Matt Hasselbeck, Seattle Seahawks
Last season, Matt Hasselbeck had a rough season. He missed more than half the season due to injury. However, in the prior five season, he’s thrown at least 22 touchdowns in four of those years.

Although Ahmad Bradshaw isn’t a starter, he plays behind Brandon Jacobs — who isn’t exactly known for staying healthy. Even if you don’t draft Jacobs, Bradshaw is very good depth for your bench.

WR Eddie Royal, Denver Broncos
With the news that Brandon Marshall is suspended, Eddie Royal’s value has gone up and up. He appears destined to be the number one receiver in Denver and could explode onto the scene in 2009.

TE Visanthe Shiancoe, Minnesota Vikings
Even though the Vikings used multiple quarterbacks last year, Visanthe Shiancoe managed to have a good season. With Brett Favre added to the mix, expect him to do even better.

Don’t forget about Matt Hasselbeck. After missing a huge chunk of the season due to injury, he’s going to start this week for the Seahawks. With his wide receivers playing well and his running backs healthy, Hasselbeck has the weapons to have a good game. If you need a starter and he’s on the waiver wire, Hasselbeck is a good start.

RB Cedric Benson, Cincinnati Bengals
While he doesn’t have a very good matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, Cedric Benson is coming off of one of the best games of his career. With Carson Palmer still out injured, Benson will get plenty of touches in the Bengals’ offense. He very well could score a touchdown this week and end up with a decent amount of yards.

WR Chris Chambers, San Diego Chargers
After a very strong start to the season, Chris Chambers has struggled with injuries. But now he’s as healthy as he’s been in weeks and should be able to get back to his old ways. With his speed back, he’s going to be a deep ball threat for the rest of the season. In Week 11, expect Chambers to once again be a big part of the Chargers offense.

TE Marcedes Lewis, Jacksonville Jaguars
Don’t look now but Marcedes Lewis has had at least three catches in each of his last four games. Last week, Lewis even led the Jaguars in receiving yards. As he continues to become a bigger and bigger part of the Jacksonville offense, his fantasy football value in 2008 will continue to rise.

Tight Ends – Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers
Mike Martz is now the offensive coordinator in San Francisco. He doesn’t have a long history of utilizing tight ends, so proceed with caution.

Kickers – Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers
The Packers are going against a strong defense in the Vikings and will they may struggle to move the ball with Aaron Rodgers at the helm.

Defenses – Chicago Bears
The Bears should finish the season as a top ten fantasy football defense, but don’t play them this week against the Colts.

2. Peyton Manning – Manning is one of the most reliable fantasy players of the last decade.
3. Tony Romo – Outside of Brady, no quarterback has a higher ceiling than Romo.
4. Drew Brees – After a slow start, Brees was again very good at the end of 2007.
5. Carson Palmer – Palmer is healthy and Ocho Cinco is mad. Good combination.
6. Derek Anderson – Anderson has great weapons in and up-and-coming offense.
7. Ben Roethlisberger – Big Ben is steady and has deceptively high potential.
8. Matt Hasselbeck – With a questionable running game, Hasselbeck will get the call.
9. Donovan McNabb – If healthy, McNabb could have another big year.
10. David Garrard – Garrard has more weapons and is coming off a great season.

For those playing playoff fantasy football, here is a look at the best matchups this weekend at each position.
QB Matt Hasselbeck, Seattle Seahawks
While Hasselbeck doesn’t have a perfect matchup against the Washington Redskins, he does have a lot of factors in his favor. First of all, he’s playing at home and he’s had much more success at home this season. Second of all, the Seahawks’ running game is shaky at best, which should mean a lot of pass attempts. Lastly, Hasselbeck has ample playoff experience and shouldn’t wilt under the pressure.

RB LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers
The Tennessee Titans are a very solid defensive team. That said, Tomlinson is simply on fire. He’s played his best football of the season late in the year and the Chargers should lean on him heavily this weekend. He could get up to 30 carries and should see the end zone at least one time.

WR Hines Ward, Pittsburgh Steelers
Going up against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Steelers are going to have to put some points on the board to pull out a victory. When the going gets tough, Ward is the player on that offense that is most dependable. He’s a big game player who should be targeted early and often this week. Don’t let his pedestrian regular season numbers fool you – Ward is still a very good wide receiver.

TE Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers
Gates had a solid yet unspectacular season. He cooled off near the end of the season but that shouldn’t worry you too much. He’s still the number one pass option for the Chargers, which becomes especially true in the red zone. When Tomlinson isn’t running the ball, expect Gates to be catching plenty of passes.
