Don’t look now but Kyle Orton is one of the hottest quarterbacks in the entire NFL. He started the season off slowly but he’s now put up four consecutive solid fantasy weeks. In Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons, he wasn’t fantastic but he did a good job fantasy wise. If he continues to get the green light in terms of throwing the ball, expect Orton to continue to be a decent fantasy football starter.

Jerry Porter, a newly signed wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, underwent surgery on his hamstring and is expected to miss six to eight weeks of action. That means he’s likely out all of training camp and may not be 100% by opening week.

Matt Jones, a wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, was caught with cocaine while in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The former star quarterback for the Arkansas Razorbacks was arrested and charged with a felony.
This news very likely ends Jones career as a member of the Jaguars. After being picked in the first round, Jones had three consecutive underwhelming seasons — with 2007 being the worst of the bunch. Last season, 317 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games.
