In Week 6 of the 2009 fantasy football season, there are a number of quality quarterback options. If you have any of these six fantasy quarterbacks, you can be confident that you’ll see production.
6. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers
Over the years, Ben Roethlisberger has been an inconsistent fantasy quarterback. But in Week 6, Big Ben has a home game against the Cleveland Browns. Expect a pair of TDs out of Roethlisberger.
5. Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
Since Week 1, Matt Schaub has been very good. This week he goes up against the Cincinnati Bengals. While the Bengals aren’t horrible, Schaub should produce.

QB Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
Returning from injury, Matt Schaub showed why he’s regarded as one of the up and coming quarterbacks in fantasy football. In Week 14, Schaub played very well against the Green Bay Packers. He finished the game with 414 passing yards and two touchdowns. Plus he orchestrated a game-winning drive near the end of the game, which should help his confidence going forward.
RB Brian Westbrook, Philadelphia Eagles
When healthy, Brian Westbrook continues to be a beast. In Week 14, Westbrook had over 200 combined rushing and receiving yards and two touchdowns. More impressively, he did that damage against …read more

QB Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
Although he’s still out injured Matt Schaub should be returning in one of the upcoming weeks. There’s even a chance that he may be ready to go in Week 14. Once he gets back on the field, Schaub very well could be a top ten starter the rest of the way. If he’s available on your Week 14 waiver wire, go ahead and pick him up.
RB Brandon Jackson, Green Bay Packers
Ryan Grant has had a disappointing season and now he even has an injury. While the injury isn’t considered severe, Brandon Jackson has looked better than …read more

With the Michael Vick chaos slowly becoming a thing of the past, the Atlanta Falcons are trying to move on as best they can. While Vick remains fresh in the minds of their fans, the Falcons have to begin re-assembling their team.
The Falcons have the third pick in the 2008 NFL draft and have plenty of directions they can go with the pick. However, the Falcons already made noise this offseason by signing Michael Turner. Turner, who many league experts think was the best running back on the open market, was signed to become the team’s new …read more
Week 13: Injury Report
QB Matt Schaub, Houston Texans – Schaub left the game on Sunday with a dislocated left shoulder. The Texans are hoping that it isn’t a season ending injury. Schaub’s backup is Sage Rosenfels, who has actually played pretty well in relief. That said, Houston and their offense is best with Schaub at the helm.
RB Derrick Ward, New York Giants – The official report on Ward is an ankle injury. However, there are reports out of New York that Ward broke his fibula. If that’s the case, Ward is obviously out for the season. The Giants, whose regular starting running back …read more
Week 12: Waiver Wire Pickups

QB Matt Schaub, Houston Texans – If Schaub is available on your league’s waiver wire, pick him up. While his season stats aren’t impressive, the Texans’ offense is finally relatively healthy. Andre Johnson returned in Week 11 and didn’t waste any time scoring on a long touchdown pass from Schaub. Owen Daniels is also a solid tight end across the middle of the field. All told, Schaub is a very good quarterback to have on your team, especially this week versus the Cleveland Browns.
RB Kolby Smith, Kansas City Chiefs – Larry Johnson appears to possibly be out for the season. …read more
Week 11: Waiver Wire Pickups

QB Matt Schaub, Houston Texans – Schaub is a forgotten man in the fantasy football world. He started off the season strong but has fizzled over the last month or so. The good news for him is his number one wide receiver Andre Johnson is schedule to return this week, which should really help his fantasy numbers. If Schaub has been dropped in your league, he’s a very good waiver wire pickup at this point.
QB Jason Campbell, Washington Redskins – Campbell finally looked comfortable throwing the ball on Sunday. He had a season-high three touchdown passes and really looked steady. …read more
Week 8: NFL Infirmary Report
Several key players went down with injuries in Sunday’s NFL action. Though the status of many of these injuries isn’t known as of yet. Be sure to keep an eye out for reports on the following players and be prepared to grab their backups off the waiver wire.
QB Matt Schaub, Houston Texans – Schaub left the game after taking a hard hit. Schaub, who has been hit hard a lot recently, entered the game at less than 100%. His latest injury is unknown but there is talk of a concussion.
QB Trent Edwards, Buffalo Bills – Edwards, a rookie quarterback …read more
Week 7: Infirmary Report
QB Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
Schaub was hurt a couple of times on Sunday. He ended the day with an injured ankle and an injured hip. His status for Week 8 is unknown at this point.
QB Byron Leftwich, Atlanta Falcons
Leftwich injured his right ankle in his first start of the season with the Falcons. Leftwich has never been a sturdy option at quarterback and it appears he could be out for a while. If he is, Joey Harrington would likely get his job back.
RB Ronnie Brown, Miami Dolphins
Brown hurt his knee in the game against the Patriots and missed the rest …read more
