Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder
Even though many feel Kevin Durant underachieved in his rookie season because he wasn’t Michael Jordan reincarnate, Durant was still good and should be even better in the 2008-09 fantasy basketball season.

Francisco Garcia, Sacramento Kings
With Ron Artest now in Houston, Francisco Garcia should see a lot of starts during the upcoming season. When he gets time, he has proven to be a player that can help in a whole list of categories.

Marvin Williams, Atlanta Hawks
Josh Childress signing in Greece should help Marvin Williams stay on the court. Childress ate up some of his time in the past but this year, Williams could emerge as a very good fantasy basketball player. He’s definitely a sleeper small forward as of right now.

Wilson Chandler, New York Knicks
With Mike D’Antoni in town, everyone knows the Knicks will be running and gunning. While it’s far from a certainty that Wilson Chandler will start at small forward, he could put up really good stats if given the opportunity. During summer league, Chandler was oftentimes the best player on the court.

Nike Commercial Video – Soul Soldier Olympics

Nike has released another video that features a few NBA superstars. This Olympic themed Nike commercial has a song that repeats the phrase, “I got soul but I’m not a soldier”. The commercial will be seen during the Olympic coverage and a video of the Nike commercial can be seen at the end of this entry.

The NBA superstars featured in this commercial include LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and even Michael Jordan. LeBron and Kobe will begin their journey on Sunday to reclaim the gold medal for the United States in basketball. The Team USA Olympic basketball schedule begins with a game against China.

Larry Jordan Video – Michael Jordan’s Brother

Apparently Michael Jordan isn’t the only member of his family with athletic ability. Check out this video of Larry Jordan dunking the ball. Larry Jordan is Michael Jordan’s brother and is dunking the ball despite being only 5-foot-8.

We’ve seen good dunks from players like Spud Webb and Nate Robinson, however Larry Jordan could dunk right with either of those two players. Here is the Larry Jordan Video:

When Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers was dominating during his 2007-08 MVP season, he drew many comparisons to Michael Jordan. However, in un-Jodarn like fashion, Bryant’s season came to an end after losing in the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.

Paul Pierce Throwing Out The First Pitch – Video

After winning the NBA championship, the Boston Celtics haven’t stopped celebrating. Recently, the Celtics were honored at a Boston Red Sox game. The Red Sox fans gave the Celtics a long standing ovation for a job well done.

To top off the festivities, Paul Pierce was asked to throw out the first pitch. Let’s just say that Celtics fans don’t have to worry about Pierce making a career change to become a baseball player a la Michael Jordan. Or even former two-sport star Danny Ainge, the now general manager of the Celtics.
