Michael Redd Out for the Season – Fantasy Analysis

The Milwaukee Bucks were delivered a devastating blow when they learned that Michael Redd will miss the rest of the season due to torn knee ligaments. Redd’s injury occurred during a recent game against the Sacramento Kings.
After attempting a shot near the basket, Redd landed awkwardly and ended up tearing both his ACL and MCL in his left knee. The injury is considered significant and Redd will face a long recovery process.
In the fantasy world, Redd owners in redraft leagues can safely drop him. In dynasty leagues, he’s still worth keeping around even if he won’t be 100% next season.

Team USA Defeats Canada 120-65

While the game didn’t mean anything, Team USA started off its bid for a gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games with a masterful 120-65 win over Canada. This was Team USA’s first exhibition game in 2008.
Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Michael Redd each had 20 points for Team USA. Wade, who missed the end of the NBA season due to injury, looked especially strong. Kobe Bryant, Deron Williams and Chris Paul each chipped in double-digit points.
LeBron James’ ankle injury forced him to miss the game.

Michael Redd Injury Update

The Milwaukee Bucks and fantasy owners alike are counting down the days until Michael Redd is ready to play again. Over the course of the last month, Redd has been hobbled with injury. Although he was able to play nine games in that time span, he wasn’t the same Michael Redd that we’ve come to expect.
Redd is currently battling a nagging knee injury. The good news is that the Bucks are hopefully that Redd will be able to play on Saturday against the New York Knicks. If he’s able to go, Redd is obviously a very good start in fantasy …read more

Top Five Fantasy Shooting Guards

1) Kobe Bryant, Las Angeles Lakers
It’s no surprise that Bryant is the number one fantasy shooting guard. He came into the season with a lot of hype and is backing it up. The good news is that he should get even better because he’s not scoring as well as he eventually will. Besides his scoring, everything else looks good.
2) Manu Ginobili, San Antonio Spurs
Ginobili has always been a good fantasy player, but this year Ginobili has been a great fantasy player. He’s doing everything and the amazing part is he’s averaging less than 30 minutes per game for the Spurs. …read more
