Andrew Bogut, the Australian born starting center for the Milwaukee Bucks, has been cleared to begin workouts. He was able to get clearance from team doctors after the back injury that shortened his 2008-09 NBA season healed.
Bogut was only able to play 36 games this season due to the back injury. He averaged 11.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists. While those are good numbers, it’s safe to say the Bucks were hoping for more when they made Bogut the number one overall pick of the 2005 NBA Draft.
In the fantasy basketball world, Bogut is an above average center. He …read more

The Milwaukee Bucks were delivered a devastating blow when they learned that Michael Redd will miss the rest of the season due to torn knee ligaments. Redd’s injury occurred during a recent game against the Sacramento Kings.
After attempting a shot near the basket, Redd landed awkwardly and ended up tearing both his ACL and MCL in his left knee. The injury is considered significant and Redd will face a long recovery process.
In the fantasy world, Redd owners in redraft leagues can safely drop him. In dynasty leagues, he’s still worth keeping around even if he won’t be 100% next season.

Luc Mbah a Moute, Milwaukee Bucks
At UCLA, Luc Mbah a Moute looked like an NBA star in the making during his freshman season. But then he had two underwhelming campaigns where he struggled mightily to score the basketball. Now with the Milwaukee Bucks, this second round draft pick is reminding basketball fans why he was once so highly regarded. Mbah a Moute is now starting a power forward for Milwaukee and could hold onto that job for a long time. He’s a very good defensive player, which coach Scott Skiles loves, and is scoring much better than he did at …read more

Mario Chalmers, Miami Heat
Mario Chalmers started for the Miami Heat at point guard and played a great game. Threatening to get a triple double in his first game, Chalmers is a definite pickup in all fantasy basketball formats. The only word of caution is to realize that the Heat were playing the Knicks — who are perhaps the worst defensive …read more

Williams is the biggest name involved in the trade, but he’s far from the only player to switch teams. Here is a list of the players who are switching teams and the fantasy football impact of each aspect of this trade:
Mo Williams, Cleveland Cavaliers
Williams should be a very good next to LeBron James on the Cavs. He can pass, shoot and score the ball effectively. While he’s not the purest point guard, his scoring …read more

Yi Jianlian, a rookie forward with the Milwaukee Bucks, has seen his last minutes of the 2007-2008 NBA season. The rookie out of China sprained his MCL and will miss the rest of the season.
The good news for Yi is that the injury isn’t considered serious and he’ll be fine for both the upcoming Olympics and next year’s NBA season. With the Olympics to be held in Beijing, China, it would have been a crushing blow for Yi if he were forced to miss out.
While Yi fizzled down the stretch of the NBA season, he showed good promise early on. …read more

Luis Scola, Houston Rockets
Now that he’s in the starting lineup, there’s no reason why Luis Scola can’t be the best rookie power forward in the NBA. He’s experienced, smart and plays in a system conducive to his strengths. He should eventually become a player who can average around 12 and 8 on the NBA level.
Yi Jianlian, Miwaukee Bucks
There is a lot of hype surrounding Yi Jianlian but most of that hype is warranted. He has a pure jumper that extends all the way out to the three-point line. He can rebound and mix in some blocked shots. Everything about him …read more

The Milwaukee Bucks and fantasy owners alike are counting down the days until Michael Redd is ready to play again. Over the course of the last month, Redd has been hobbled with injury. Although he was able to play nine games in that time span, he wasn’t the same Michael Redd that we’ve come to expect.
Redd is currently battling a nagging knee injury. The good news is that the Bucks are hopefully that Redd will be able to play on Saturday against the New York Knicks. If he’s able to go, Redd is obviously a very good start in fantasy …read more

Corey Brewer, Minnesota Timberwolves
Brewer has started to play well in his rookie season. He had a bad start but as of late he’s been rather good. He’s still prone to having bad games but he does so much on the court that he can help your fantasy team even if his shot isn’t falling. If he continues to adapt well to the NBA, he could become a very good fantasy basketball player in the second half of the season.
