Best Postseason Fantasy NBA Point Guards

Early on during the 2009 NBA playoffs, a number of point guards are playing at amazingly high levels. If you are playing playoff fantasy basketball, you definitely want to have one of these point guards quarterbacking your fantasy team:
Chauncey Billups, Denver Nuggets
During the regular season, Billups was very good. In the postseason, he’s taken his game up another level. He’s been simply amazing in his first two outings as a Nugget during the playoffs.
Rajon Rondo, Boston Celtics
Filling the void left by an injured Kevin Garnett is point guard Rajon Rondo. He’s a certifiable star at this point and his numbers …read more

Most Surprising Point Guards in Fantasy Basketball

Rafer Alston, Houston Rockets
The Rockets are on a 20-game winning streak and one of the biggest reasons is the play of Rafer Alston. Alston struggled a bit earlier in the season but he’s playing great right now. Over the last month or so, Alston has really improved and he has become a quality fantasy option.
Beno Udrih, Sacramento Kings
The Kings gave a lot of reasons for why they traded Mike Bibby, but perhaps the biggest reason was because the team thinks it has found a better point guard in Beno Udrih. Udrih is a player who can score, …read more

Sleeper Point Guards – February 2008

Earl Watson, Seattle Supersonics
Watson has been starting for the Sonics for a while now and has slowly improved since the start of the season. He still doesn’t shoot for a high percentage and his offense remains erratic, however his assists numbers have gone up nicely as of late. With the Sonics winning more games lately, Watson has a chance to be a decent fantasy point guard.
Earl Boykins, Charlotte Bobcats
As I talked about in this blog entry, Boykins has a chance to be a very sneaky pickup this season. Considering he’s available in most leagues, picking up Boykins is the type …read more

Earl Boykins – Fantasy Gold?

Earl Boykins signed with the Charlotte Bobcats in a move that largely went under the radar in most fantasy circles. However, you should be well aware of this move. Boykins, while he’s not a great NBA player, he can at times be a great fantasy player.
The Bobcats have Raymond Felton and Jeff McInnis, but neither has proven to be much of a point guard this season. Felton is being played more at shooting guard now, while McInnis has never been much of a fantasy player. Enter Boykins. If there’s on thing about Boykins, it’s that he is never afraid to …read more

Top Five Fantasy Point Guards

1) Chris Paul, New Orleans Hornets
Paul has been fantastic this season. He’s really taken the next step in his development and has turned into a fantasy monster. Not only is he easily the best fantasy point guard in the game, he’s arguably a top three fantasy player in any position.
2) Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns
As Nash ages, he seemingly just gets better. He’s getting to the age where a lot of players start to decline, but that decline hasn’t hit yet. Instead, he’s playing as good as or better than ever. His shooting is fantastic and …read more
