Fantasy Football Playoffs – Week 3 Matchups

After a few more upsets in Week 2 of the NFL playoffs, the fantasy football world moves into its version of the Final Four. Each of these games should be exciting to watch, however picking which players will do good will definitely be a difficult task. Here’s an early look at this weekend’s matchups in playoff fantasy football:
Philadelphia Eagles @ Arizona Cardinals
Sunday, January 18th – 3:00 PM Eastern
Both teams were able to win a pair of road games to make it to this point. Not too long ago, both squads were struggling but they’ve turned it around. That said, the …read more

Playoff Fantasy Football – Top Players Week 2

QB Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
In a losing effort, Philip Rivers made his fantasy football owners happy. He tossed a week high three touchdown passes. Along with his TDs, he passed for more than 300 yards. Overall, it was very good fantasy season for Rivers and he ended it on a high note.
RB Willie Parker, Pittsburgh Steelers
Willie Parker proved that playoff experience is important. The former Super Bowl hero had a fantastic week against the Chargers. Parker was by far the best RB this week as he totaled 146 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
WR Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals

QB Kurt Warner, Arizona Cardinals
Although he struggled down the stretch of the regular season, Kurt Warner showed why he’s one of the most explosive fantasy players going in the playoffs right now. He had 271 yards and two touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons to help the Cardinals advance to the second round of the 2008 NFL playoffs.
RB Darren Sproles, San Diego Chargers
Filling in for an injured LaDainian Tomlinson, Darren Sproles had a monster game. For any fantasy owners who rolled the dice and went with Sproles, you were well rewarded. He had 105 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Overall, he …read more

Making a Name in the Playoffs

Nothing like a big stage like the playoffs to show off what you can do to the people who will be looking for next year’s next big thing.
By Guest Blogger, Ron Bishow
The playoffs may not have any direct fantasy implications, but it can be a very telling time when looking for players who might be worth drafting next season.
When you get into crunch time coaches only go to the guys they really have faith in, and quarterbacks only throw to players they have total faith in. It is one thing to go with a guy during the regular …read more

Playoff Fantasy Football: AFC Championship Studs

QB Tom Brady, New England Patriots
If you can start Brady this week, you should start him. He’s playing great and he’s coming off a nearly perfect game. There’s no other quarterback in the world right now that you’d want as your starting fantasy football quarterback. Expect him to have at least two touchdowns at the very least.
Tom Brady Man Crush Video (very amusing)

RB LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers
Tomlinson has some bad blood from last year’s elimination at the hands of the Patriots. He wasn’t happy with how Patriots players acted after beating the Chargers in the playoffs. That should give …read more

Playoff Fantasy Football: NFC Championship Studs

QB Brett Favre, Green Bay Packers
With Favre playing a home game for a chance to make the Super Bowl, how could you not love to have him on your fantasy football team? He played very well last week against the Seattle Seahawks, as he lead a barrage of scoring drives to dig his team out of an early hole. Expect Favre to be slinging it around the field and finish with at least a pair of touchdowns to his name.

Tony Romo and the Cowboys are going to take a lot of criticism this offseason. Here’s a funny video called, “Leave Tony Romo Alone” that was published before the Cowboys loss this past weekend.

NFL Playoffs: The Upsets

Sunday was a great day in football. And now, we are down to four teams left. With the upsets of the Cowboys (T.O. crying after the loss) and the Colts, everybody’s money will be on the Pats (as if it wasn’t there already).
But are you sure that we should all count out Brett Favre? Maybe the old man can pull out a Super Bowl win.
Here is the schedule for next weekend:
AFC Championship
San Diego Chargers @ New England Patriots
Sunday, January 20, 2008 – 3:00pm ET (CBS)
NFC Championship
New York Giants @ Green Bay Packers
Sunday, January 20, 2008 – 6:30pm …read more

Just Not Sold on Vince Young

Just Not Sold on Vince Young

After watching Vince Young for his sophomore season I don’t see him being a fantasy impact during his career.
By Guest Blogger, Ron Bishow
I know you really shouldn’t judge a player after just two seasons in the NFL but I am just not that impressed with Vince Young.
In 15 games this season Young passed for 2,546 yards with just nine touchdowns and a mind-boggling 17 interceptions. And for all his running prowess he only had three rushing TDs. Those are really bad numbers, not just for fantasy, but in real life as well. I just don’t see the player pundits were …read more
