Sometimes it is easy to forget that the NFL players are real and not just fantasy was never more evident then this weekend.

As fun as fantasy football is, and how much popularity it has brought to the NFL, its critics complain that it turns the game into just statistics. Quarterbacks that manage a game, or fullbacks that lead the way for running backs, are rendered useless. Sure the team knows they’re useful but the fans often start to forget they exist.
Well, this Sunday proved just how the actual game of football could destroy a fantasy player’s …read more

In many fantasy football leagues around the world, the top teams were knocked out of the playoffs on Sunday as top quarterbacks like Tom Brady, Tony Romo and Peyton Manning had subpar games. Brady didn’t have a touchdown. Romo didn’t have a TD either, while he logged 3 INTs and injured his thumb. And Peyton had just one touchdown.
It obviously didn’t just end there. Randy Moss tallied only 79 yards and went without a touchdown. And T.O. finished Sunday’s game with just two catches and 37 yards.
Nearly every top NFL player in the league came crashing down to earth …read more
Fantasy Football Week 15: Injury Report
QB Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys – Romo hurt his thumb in Week 15 during the Cowboys’ loss against the Philadelphia Eagles. He kept playing but the injury obviously limited his effectiveness. He went without a touchdown against a defense which hasn’t proven to be overly great this season. If Romo further injures his thumb, Brad Johnson is next in line to be quarterback for Dallas.
QB Kellen Clemens, New York Jets – Clemens left the game against the New England Patriots with a rib injury. While Clemens has shown some signs of having the potential to be …read more

K Ryan Longwell, Minnesota Vikings – While it’s tough to bank on offensive production out of the Vikings, this week should be a good week for Longwell. With Tavaris Jackson playing well and Chester Taylor and Adrian Peterson healthy, the Vikings’ offense is better than it’s been all year. Going up against the Chicago Bears with Kyle Orton at the helm, this promises to be a field goal battle. Expect at least two field goals from Longwell this week.
K Martin Gramatica, New Orleans Saints – With Olindo Mare out for the season with a dislocated hip, the Saints signed Gramatica …read more

QB Tavaris Jackson, Minnesota Vikings – Jackson had been horrible for much of the season but has suddenly put together three strong games. He has four touchdowns and only one interception over the last three games, with a quarterback rating of well over 100. If you are in need of a quarterback off of the waiver wire, look at picking up Jackson.
RB Kenton Keith, Indianapolis Colts – The Colts are taking on the Raiders this week and that means there will be plenty of rushing yards to go around. While Joseph Addai will get most …read more

QB Trent Edwards, Buffalo Bills – Edwards is coming off a big fantasy game and has another good matchup this week against the Cleveland Browns. Edwards, who had four touchdowns in Week 15, has some quality talent at his disposal including Lee Evans. With the Browns being such a poor defensive bunch, expect a couple touchdowns out of Edwards this week.
RB Darius Walker, Houston Texans – With Ron Dayne injured, the running back job for the Texans looks like it could be Walker’s. Walker, who was recently on the Texans’ practice squad, got some work last week and played decently …read more

If you are still alive in your fantasy football league and you have any of these players on your team this week, you have a good shot at winning.
QB Tom Brady, New England Patriots – While Brady has had an unbelievable season, this is the game when he might set all types of records. Facing the New York Jets, the Patriots have a lot of reasons to be angry. The Jets are the team that started camera-gate, which caused the Patriots to lose a first round draft pick and incur fines. Expect the Patriots to try to demolish the Jets. …read more
