Jerry Porter Hamstring Injury Info – Impact

Jerry Porter, a newly signed wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, underwent surgery on his hamstring and is expected to miss six to eight weeks of action. That means he’s likely out all of training camp and may not be 100% by opening week.
This is obviously bad news for Jerry Porter fantasy football owners. Hamstring injuries can be nagging injuries that last all year long. QB Matt Schaub, Houston Texans – If Schaub is available on your league’s waiver wire, pick him up. While his season stats aren’t impressive, the Texans’ offense is finally relatively healthy. Andre Johnson returned in Week 11 and didn’t waste any time scoring on a long touchdown pass from Schaub. Owen Daniels is also a solid tight end across the middle of the field. All told, Schaub is a very good quarterback to have on your team, especially this week versus the Cleveland Browns.
