If you watch the 2009 NBA Draft, there’s sure to be a lot of hype. Every player who is selected near the top of the draft will be talked up as if they’ll come into the NBA ready to be an All-Star. However, the truth is that many of the rookies won’t be ready to help during the 2009-10 fantasy basketball season.

2009 NBA Mock Draft – Top Ten Picks

The 2009 NBA Draft will take place at the end of June. However, if you are playing dynasty fantasy basketball, it’s never too early to take a look at the top prospects.
1. Blake Griffin, Oklahoma
Griffin will go number one overall. This athletic bigman has a chance to be a double-double machine.
2. Ricky Rubio, Spain
One of the most hyped players from Europe of all-time, Rubio already has a lot of fans in the United States.

The Team USA basketball squad, called by many the “Redeem Team”, completed their mission by beating Spain in the gold medal game. Although the game was closer than expected, the United States prevailed to claim the gold medal.
With the outcome still in question, Kobe Bryant took over in the fourth quarter. He not only scored but he handed out a team-high number of assists. Helping Bryant close out the game for the USA was Dwyane Wade, who led the United States in scoring.
