Although the Lions are a horrible team, Dan Orlovsky is actually a decent play in Week 15. Going up against the New Orleans Saints, Orlovsky could very well finish with a pair of touchdown passes to go along with decent yardage.

RB DeShaun Foster, San Francisco 49ers
Filling in for the injured Frank Gore in Week 15, DeShaun Foster put up more than 100 combined yards against the Miami Dolphins. If Gore misses another week, Foster should have an even better game this week against the St. Louis Rams.

WR Deion Branch, Seattle Seahawks
After two straight quality games, it’s safe to start trusting Deion Branch. He followed up a two touchdown game in Week 14 with five catches for 76 yards in Week 16. Although his matchup this week against the New York Jets isn’t great, he’s still a good emergency starter.

TE Zach Miller, Oakland Raiders
Although the Oakland Raiders offense is very bad, Zach Miller is their best offensive player at the moment. He has three straight games with at least five catches and six straight games of at least 40 yards. Miller should have a solid week in fantasy football in Week 15 against the Houston Texans.

RB Tatum Bell, Denver Broncos
With Peyton Hillis now out for the season with a hamstring injury, Tatum Bell is the starting running back in Denver. He’s had some success in the past in this system and should be extra motivated knowing that this could very well be his last chance to earn a spot in the NFL. Start him if your other options are shaky.

WR Torry Holt, St. Louis Rams
Torry Holt has quietly gotten better over the last few weeks. He’s running better routes and is getting open more often. In the last four weeks, he has 17 receptions and has had at least 60 yards in all but one of those games. He’ll likely have a breakout game at some point before the end of the season and Week 15 against the Seahawks is a possibility.

TE Donald Lee, Green Bay Packers
In each of the last two games, Donald Lee has a touchdown. In the last four games, he has three touchdowns. While he’s not getting a whole lot of passes thrown his way, he’s a definite threat near the end zone. Going against a mediocre Jacksonville Jaguars defense in Week 15 makes Lee a good play.

QB Shaun Hill, San Francisco 49ers
It took a while for Shaun Hill to get his shot this season but he’s been very productive as a starter. Fantasy football owners looking for an emergency starting quarterback would be wise to look Hill’s way. He doesn’t have a big arm or great weapons — but the bottom line is that he’s a productive fantasy player.

He doesn’t have a big arm or great weapons — but the bottom line is that he’s a productive fantasy player.

RB Maurice Morris, Seattle Seahawks
The starter at running back currently for the Seahawks is Maurice Morris. He’s beaten out Julius Jones and now is getting the vast majority of the carries. In Week 15 of the fantasy football season, Morris and the Seahawks take on the anemic St. Louis Rams. Morris should be able to have a quality game against their sub par defense.

WR Deion Branch, Seattle Seahawks
Another way to try to take advantage of the Rams in Week 15 is to pick up Deion Branch. Branch is coming off of his best game of the season by far — a two touchdown performance against the New England Patriots. Branch isn’t a great start but he’s getting close to 100% and is a boom or bust choice going forward.

TE Martellus Bennett, Dallas Cowboys
Even though Jason Witten is back in the fold for the Cowboys, Martellus Bennett is still getting some action. Bennett, the backup tight end for Dallas, is a definite threat near the end zone. In the last four games, Bennett only has six catches but three of them have been touchdowns.

RB Brandon Jackson, Green Bay Packers
Ryan Grant has had a disappointing season and now he even has an injury. While the injury isn’t considered severe, Brandon Jackson has looked better than Grant for much of the season. Don’t be surprised to see Jackson get the starting job so that the Packers can see what they have in the second-year running back.

WR Davone Bess, Miami Dolphins
Go ahead and pick this guy up if he’s available. Davone Bess is going to get a lot of action the rest of the season and could even become Chad Pennington’s go-to wide receiver. He has good speed and has the potential to break one just about every week.

TE John Carlson, Seattle Seahawks
With Matt Hasselbeck back as the starter at quarterback, the receiving options are more trustworthy for the Seahawks and fantasy football owners alike. John Carlson has had a good rookie season at tight end and should have a good end to his season. With the wide receivers still struggling, Carlson may be Hasselbeck’s best option.

Don’t forget about Matt Hasselbeck. After missing a huge chunk of the season due to injury, he’s going to start this week for the Seahawks. With his wide receivers playing well and his running backs healthy, Hasselbeck has the weapons to have a good game. If you need a starter and he’s on the waiver wire, Hasselbeck is a good start.

RB Cedric Benson, Cincinnati Bengals
While he doesn’t have a very good matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, Cedric Benson is coming off of one of the best games of his career. With Carson Palmer still out injured, Benson will get plenty of touches in the Bengals’ offense. He very well could score a touchdown this week and end up with a decent amount of yards.

WR Chris Chambers, San Diego Chargers
After a very strong start to the season, Chris Chambers has struggled with injuries. But now he’s as healthy as he’s been in weeks and should be able to get back to his old ways. With his speed back, he’s going to be a deep ball threat for the rest of the season. In Week 11, expect Chambers to once again be a big part of the Chargers offense.

TE Marcedes Lewis, Jacksonville Jaguars
Don’t look now but Marcedes Lewis has had at least three catches in each of his last four games. Last week, Lewis even led the Jaguars in receiving yards. As he continues to become a bigger and bigger part of the Jacksonville offense, his fantasy football value in 2008 will continue to rise.

QB Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens have actually turned it around offensively and that has allowed them to win their last three games. In that span, the Ravens are averaging 31 points per game. Rookie quarterback Joe Flacco deserves a lot of credit and with two touchdowns in each of his last two games, he’s a good bet to be productive in his Week 10 matchup against the Houston Texans.

RB Darren Sproles, San Diego Chargers
With the Chargers hosting the Kansas City Chiefs this week, it’s a great time to gamble on a big game from Darren Sproles. The Chiefs have a horrible run defense and they very likely could get blown out this week. If Sproles gets at least eight touches this week, there’s a chance he could put up a solid fantasy football line.

WR Koren Robinson, Seattle Seahawks
In recent weeks, Koren Robinson has quietly become the most productive wide receiver on the Seahawks. Last week, he had a 90-yard reception for a touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles. This week against the Miami Dolphins, Robinson should be able to get four or five catches and his speed gives him the capability of breaking a long one.

TE Kevin Boss, New York Giants
Kevin Boss hasn’t been as productive as many fantasy football owners thought he’d be during the 2008 season, but he’s been more productive lately. In his last two weeks, he has a touchdown in each game and a total of seven receptions. With Eli Manning looking for him more, there’s a chance he can get another touchdown this weekend in Week 10.

The Bears are going up against the best defensive team in the NFL when they take on the Tennessee Titans. On top of that, a number of their top wide receivers are struggling with injuries. All told, there really isn’t a good reason to start Rex Grossman this week, who’s filling in for the injured Kyle Orton.

RB Julius Jones, Seattle Seahawks
Even though Julius Jones and the Seahawks seemingly have a decent matchup against the Miami Dolphins, don’t get suckered into starting him. Jones has slowly lost his grip on the running back job and is now simply a part time running back in a bad offense. He’s destined to get only about 40 yards with no touchdown this week.

WR Marvin Harrison, Indianapolis Colts
Marvin Harrison has been a great fantasy football player for a long time. But his reign has a top receiver is finished. He has lost a step and is now a very average wideout option for Peyton Manning. He may get a few more touchdowns on the season and could have another big game but he’s a shadow of his former self. Against the Pittsburgh Steelers is a good time to sit him.

TE Zach Miller, Oakland Raiders
The Raiders are simply a mess right now. Avoid starting any of their players if you can. They got shutout last week and there’s no promise that another similar type performance isn’t going to happen this week. Zach Miller is talented but stay away until the Raiders show life.

Here are a list of waiver wire targets to go after. If any of these players are available, pick them up ASAP.
QB Kyle Orton, Chicago Bears
In Week 5, Kyle Orton had his fifth consecutive very good fantasy game. It’s a bit early to call him a good fantasy football starter on a weekly basis but he’s looking like he can be a quality backup.

RB Justin Fargas, Oakland Raiders
After missing a couple weeks due to injury, Justin Fargas is expected back soon. Once he gets back in the lineup, Fargas will carry a big load for the Raiders. He should be on a roster in all fantasy leagues.

WR Bobby Engram, Seattle Seahawks
Returning from injury in Week 5, Bobby Engram wasted little time proving his worth. He had eight catches and was the obvious go-to guy for the Seahawks’ air assault. Engram should be a top 25 wide receiver from this point forward.

TE Anthony Fasano, Miami Dolphins
Anthony Fasano continues to look like the real deal in Miami. The Dolphins’ passing game isn’t as anemic as many thought it would be and Fasano is a big reason for that. He has a chance to finish the year as a top ten tight end.

After sitting out last week, Carson Palmer is listed as questionable for Week 5. However, the good news for fantasy football owners is that Palmer is expected to play in Week 5 despite his elbow injury.
QB Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Rodgers is listed officially as questionable and is being called a game-time decision. That said, it’s looking more and more likely that he’ll play.

Westbrook was unable to play last week due to an ankle injury. This week he has practiced and very well could play.

RB Willis McGahee, Baltimore Ravens
McGahee is questionable and will be a gametime decision. Look elsewhere for a safe start.

WR Anquan Boldin, Arizona Cardinals
Boldin is out for Week 5 after undergoing face surgery.

WR Brandon Lloyd, Chicago Bears
Due to a hip injury, Brandon Lloyd will be out in Week 5.

WR David Patten, New Orleans Saints
Patten has been ruled out for Week 5.

WR Deion Branch and Bobby Engram, Seattle Seahawks
Although neither wide receiver has played this season, both are expected to play in Week 5.

WR Justin Gage, Tennessee Titans
Gage is listed as doubtful and is expected to miss Week 5 of the fantasy football season.

WR Plaxico Burress, New York Giants
Burress will not play in Week 5 due to suspension.

TE LJ Smith, Philadelphia Eagles
Although listed as questionable, the latest indications are that Smith should be able to play.

Not too long ago, Muhsin Muhammad and Steve Smith formed a lethal combination. With Steve Smith making his debut for the Panthers this week, Muhammad could become a favorite target for Jake Delhomme in the end zone.

TE John Carlson, Seattle Seahawks
If John Carlson is available in your fantasy football league’s waiver wire, be sure to snag him up as soon as possible. The rookie tight end for the Seahawks promises to be a big part of the team’s offense, especially with all their injuries at the wide receiver position.
