Sell High Fantasy Football Players

Sell High Fantasy Football Players

While there are a lot of fantasy football players that are hyped up right now early in the 2009 NFL season, some of the players don’t deserve the hype in the fantasy world. Here are a few players you should look to trade as a sell high.
QB Mark Sanchez, New York Jets
Mark Sanchez is getting tons of press and is the darling of New York football at the moment. However, he doesn’t have very much value in fantasy football. Sell him high to get value out of him before the rest of the fantasy world catches on.
RB Willis McGahee, Baltimore …read more

Sell High – Week 2 Fantasy Football

Sell High – Week 2 Fantasy Football

After Week 1, there are a number of players that are sell high candidates heading into Week 2. If you have any of these players on your team, you can trade them now to maximize their value.
QB Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers
In Week 1, Ben Roethlisberger looked very good and was throwing the ball all around the field. But the Steelers will eventually start running more, which will lower Roethlisberger’s potential. Trade him now to a team struggling at QB.
RB Cadillac Williams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
I can’t imagine Cadillac Williams holding up for the entire 2009 fantasy football season. While he’s healthy, …read more

Sell High Fantasy Baseball Pitchers in 2009

Which 2009 fantasy baseball pitchers are pitching better than expected? Here are five pitchers that you should sell high on to maximize their value.
Heath Bell, San Diego Padres
So far in 2009, Heath Bell has been great. But can he keep it up? Doubtful. His 0.47 ERA has to start heading north and while he already has 13 saves, those opportunities will likely start slowing down as the Padres cool off. Sell him high now before his value drops.
Frank Francisco, Texas Rangers
Just like Bell, Frank Francisco is a closer who is pitching great for an overachieving team. He hasn’t given up …read more

Week 8: Sell High Candidates

QB Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys – Romo has been a very good fantasy quarterback this season. He’s no doubt top five at position. That said, it may be time to start to look at trading him. If you look at his numbers, he has had three average weeks in a row. Against the Vikings in Week 7, he didn’t have the fantasy production many expected against Minnesota’s weak pass defense. If you can trade Romo to an owner who hasn’t realized that Romo has cooled off, you could get more in return than he is actually worth.
RB Joseph Addai – …read more

Week 6 – Buy Low, Sell High

A major part of fantasy football is learning how to buy low and sell high. It’s difficult to do because you have to trade away good players and be willing to receive underperforming players in return. But as long as you are confident in your ability to assess players, it’s a very good strategy to live by.
Here are a couple players who currently fall into the buy low, sell high category.
Ronnie Brown, Miami Dolphins
Sell High
Brown is off to a great start. He’s one of the most valuable running backs in fantasy football. That said, now is a good time to …read more

Brett Favre – Sell High

Oftentimes there are fantasy players that are producing stats early in the season that likely won’t hold up over the year. If you have one of these players on your roster, it’s good to sell now – sell high before their value deflates.
One player that’s like that currently is Brett Favre. At 4-0, the Green Bay Packers have surpassed everybody’s expectations so far this young season. That said, it’s likely time to trade Favre if you have him on your roster and you are hurting at other positions.
Favre is off to a tremendous start. However over the past few seasons, …read more
