The Indiana Pacers got a huge win on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers came into the game with only one loss — but the Pacers were able to give them their second loss when Troy Murphy tipped in a shot at the buzzer to give the Pacers a one-point win. TJ Ford Traded For Jermaine O’Neal – Impact

On the day before the 2008 NBA Draft, the Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers completed the offseason’s first big trade. The Pacers traded Jermaine O’Neal to the Toronto Raptors for TJ Ford, Rasho Nesterovic and the 17th pick in the draft.

Injury Status: Good News for TJ Ford

After consulting with spinal specialists in Cleveland, TJ Ford has been cleared to begin playing basketball. Ford was informed that he will be able to make a full recovery from his latest injury setback.
Ford was injured when Al Horford hit him in the face when Ford was going up for a layup. Ford has been sidelined since then, with speculation being that Ford could even decide to retire.

After suffering another spinal cord related injury when he was hammered by Al Horford, TJ Ford’s injury status is murky at the moment. It’s unclear how long he will be out, forcing fantasy owners to play the guessing game.
The good news is that Ford says he’s planning on returning this season. There was some talk of his season and perhaps even his career being over after his last injury. So far, the news has been relatively positive from the Toronto Raptors and Ford since the injury.

TJ Ford Injury: Fantasy Impact

Late in the fourth quarter against the Atlanta Hawks, TJ Ford was fouled hard by Al Horford and suffered a scary injury. Ford, who has a history of neck injuries even before he joined the Toronto Raptors, had his head snapped back on the initial hit and then his head hit the court when he landed. He was removed from the court on a stretcher.
The good news is that later reports indicated that Ford had feeling and movement in his extremities. However, with as violent a hit he took and his history, there’s a good chance Ford will be sidelined …read more
