The Indiana Pacers got a huge win on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers came into the game with only one loss — but the Pacers were able to give them their second loss when Troy Murphy tipped in a shot at the buzzer to give the Pacers a one-point win. On the day before the 2008 NBA Draft, the Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers completed the offseason’s first big trade. The Pacers traded Jermaine O’Neal to the Toronto Raptors for TJ Ford, Rasho Nesterovic and the 17th pick in the draft.

Late in the fourth quarter against the Atlanta Hawks, TJ Ford was fouled hard by Al Horford and suffered a scary injury. Ford, who has a history of neck injuries even before he joined the Toronto Raptors, had his head snapped back on the initial hit and then his head hit the court when he landed.
