LeBron James has just been consistently great this season. Both in regards to fantasy basketball and in real life. If you have LeBron on your team, life is good for you right now. What’s scary is LeBron should become even better now that the Cavs traded for some talented players.

5) LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
LeBron James has just been consistently great this season. Both in regards to fantasy basketball and in real life. If you have LeBron on your team, life is good for you right now. What’s scary is LeBron should become even better now that the Cavs traded for some talented players.

4) Marcus Camby, Denver Nuggets
Everyone is waiting for Marcus Camby to slow down but he keeps on rolling. Camby rebounds and blocks shots at an amazingly high clip. There are no signs that he’ll slow down at any point this season. Camby seems to be a player who is getting better and better and his ages.

3) Manu Ginobili, San Antonio Spurs
In the NBA, there’s no player playing as well as Manu Ginobili. The Argentine superstar is playing the best basketball of his life right now. His outside stroke has never been better. Every aspect of his game is amazing to watch right now. He probably can’t continue to play this well but I wouldn’t bet against him.

2) Chris Paul, New Orleans Hornets
It seems like Chris Paul has been on the top of these lists all season. He came into the season as a very good fantasy player but he has exceeded all expectations. Next fantasy basketball season, Paul is the leading candidate to be the first overall draft pick. For the rest of this season, just be thankful if he’s on your team.

1) Amare Stoudemire, Phoenix Suns
Ever since the talk of Shaquille O’Neal coming to the Suns began, Amare Stoudemire has been a monster. He’s the best fantasy player in the game right now. He’s scoring, rebounding, blocking shots, shooting for great percentages and is barely turning the ball over. It’ll be interesting to see if he can keep up this level of play.

1. Chris Paul, New Orleans Hornets
Paul is the best player in all of fantasy basketball this season. His game is perfectly built for him to be a fantasy basketball stud for a long time.

2. LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
Perhaps the best player in all of the NBA, James is also great in the fantasy world. The scary part is he’s still getting better.

3. Chris Bosh, Toronto Raptors
Bosh is an underrated bigman superstar – in both the NBA and in fantasy basketball. His skill level seems to rise each month he’s in the league.

4. Josh Smith, Atlanta Hawks
Smith is an athletic freak and he’s also blessed with a lot of natural ability. He’s as explosive as anyone in the league.

5. Rudy Gay, Memphis Grizzlies
Although the Grizzlies are having another down year, Gay is emerging as a star. In fantasy basketball, he’s been fantastic in recent weeks.

6. Andrew Bynum, Los Angeles Lakers
Bynum is only 20-years-old but he’s already achieved fantasy greatness. His potential going forward is limitless.

7. Al Jefferson, Minnesota Timberwolves
While it was definitely tough to trade away Kevin Garnett, Jefferson will dull some of that pain. This kid can play.

8. Kevin Martin, Sacramento Kings
Martin is a largely unknown player due to him playing at a small college and now on the struggling Kings. However, Martin is simply an amazing scorer.

9. Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic
While his game isn’t completely fantasy friendly, his domination in real life still translates over to the fantasy world.

10. Deron Williams, Utah Jazz
Williams is point guard who will only get better as he ages. Right now, he’s already arguably a top five point guard in the league.

Funny Deron Williams commercial …

Stoudemire has been perhaps the best fantasy player in all the land recently. He’s recovered from his early season knee problems and is now back to 100%. With the Suns playing their up and down style, Stoudemire gets a ton of chances to dent the stat sheet. If you took a chance on him, you are being rewarded nicely.

With the Suns playing their up and down style, Stoudemire gets a ton of chances to dent the stat sheet. If you took a chance on him, you are being rewarded nicely.

2) Marcus Camby, Denver Nuggets
Camby is having a dominating fantasy season. If you have him on your team, you’ve watched as he’s single-handedly carried you at times this year. While he doesn’t get much publicity, Camby is a certified star right now in the NBA. And in the fantasy world, he’s even better.

3) Yao Ming, Houston Rockets
Tracy McGrady is back and that seems to have actually helped Yao a bit. He’s getting some space to operate in the low block. This year, the biggest change in his game has been his aggression level. Now that the Rockets are actually winning games, expect Yao’s numbers to become more consistent.

4) Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Cleveland Cavaliers
Speaking of inconsistent, Ilgauskas has been all over the board this season. However, as of late he’s been on fire. He’s providing LeBron James with a perfect sidekick who can score and pass out of the post. The big Lithuanian is a streaky fantasy player but overall he’s very solid.

5) Andris Biedrins, Golden State Warriors
As long as Biedrins gets minutes, he produces very nicely. Sometimes his minutes can be erratic playing under Don Nelson but overall Nelson does a nice job of playing Biedrins. When Nelson uses a super small ball lineup, he’ll take Biedrins out – but that’s occurring less and less often.

1) Kevin Garnett, Boston Celtics
Garnett has become a very balanced and efficient fantasy player as of late. He’s not doing any one thing exceptionally great but he also doesn’t hurt your fantasy team at all. He’s an all-around great player right now and he’s making his fantasy owners very happy. His scoring and rebounding should improve as the season progresses.

2) Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks
Nowitzki started the season off in a slump but has turned it all around. He’s back to being an MVP caliber player for the Mavericks. His shooting has been a little shaky recently but that slight dip won’t last too long. From here on out, Nowitzki should remain a top three power forward.

3) Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs
Duncan has been his same consistent self. His rebounding lately has been outstanding and he’s shooting very well. Even his free throw shooting has been decent lately. Just like in real life, Duncan is a very solid player to build your fantasy team around. Right now, he’s playing especially well.

4) Chris Bosh, Toronto Raptors
Bosh is quietly emerging as a superstar north of the border. His scoring has never been better. He can score from virtually anywhere on the court. While it looked like his progress as a player had stalled in recent months, he’s now showing that his ceiling is as high as ever.

5) Carlos Boozer, Utah Jazz
This season, Boozer is proving that last year was no fluke. He’s a stud again this year and has the potential to be the best fantasy power forward in the NBA. He’s a skilled scorer, a tenacious rebounder and a guy who brings it every night. Boozer is the real deal.

James started the year off fantastically. Then he got hurt and was relatively quiet for a while. However, now James is back healthy and is dominating the NBA once again. The Cavaliers are playing better, which should also help James put up even better stats. He should be a top five fantasy player from here on out.

2) Danny Granger, Indiana Pacers
Granger is on fire for the Pacers. He’s putting up a lot of points, rebounds, steals, three-pointers and his shooting percentages are great. He had a slump earlier in the season but that slump is now forgotten. Granger is now arguably the go-to player for the Pacers and still has plenty of upside.

3) Andrei Kirilenko, Utah Jazz
Kirilenko has bounced back from a scary back injury to post very nice numbers. Although his scoring numbers aren’t outstanding, he has a nice all-around game including high shooting percentages and low turnovers. Kirilenko is a guy who can help anyone’s fantasy team.

4) Gerald Wallace, Charlotte Bobcats
Wallace is a true small forward but the Bobcats have been playing him at power forward. At his new position Wallace has been putting up stellar numbers. He’s played well posting up smaller defenders or blowing by larger defenders. Wallace is once again among the fantasy elite.

5) Caron Butler, Washington Wizards
Butler and the Wizards have been a bit cold lately but there aren’t many reasons to worry about Butler. He has emerged as a fantasy superstar this year. Once Gilbert Arenas returns from injury, Butler should still remain a huge part of the team. Butler is truly one of the hidden gems in the NBA.

Billups has been playing very well lately. He’s scoring well – mainly due to his high shooting percentages. His assists and rebounds are good and he’s not turning the ball over much. He’s had a very consistently solid fantasy season to date.
2) Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns

1) Chauncey Billups, Detroit Pistons
Billups has been playing very well lately. He’s scoring well – mainly due to his high shooting percentages. His assists and rebounds are good and he’s not turning the ball over much. He’s had a very consistently solid fantasy season to date.

3) Baron Davis, Golden State Warriors
With free reign in Don Nelson’s offense, Davis is having a career season. He has been scoring, assisting, rebounding and getting steals at a very high clip lately. The concern him Davis is injury but so far, he’s been uncharacteristically healthy this season.

4) Jose Calderon, Toronto Raptors
With TJ Ford out with a neck injury, Calderon has emerged as one of the best point guards in the NBA. As long as Ford is sidelined, expect Calderon to put up huge numbers. Even when Ford returns, Calderon should continue to play extended minutes.

5) Chris Paul, New Orleans Hornets
Paul has been a stud this season but recently he has cooled off a bit. However, you shouldn’t worry as he’ll no doubt return to his former greatness. Expect him to finish the season as the best fantasy point guard in the NBA.
