When speaking of NBA rookies, Brandon Jennings must be mentioned first. While he’s still producing at a high level, his shooting percentage has been plummeting lately. It’ll be interesting to see if he can bounce back.

Tyreke Evans, Sacramento Kings
With Kevin Martin out injured, Tyreke Evans has emerged as the star of the Kings. He can score, grab rebounds and dish out assists. If Jennings doesn’t heat back up, Evans may become the talk of this rookie class.

Darren Collison, New Orleans Hornets
With Chris Paul out, Darren Collison has stepped in and done a fantastic job as a starter. In his last five games, he’s averaging 16.4 points, 7.2 assists and 3.4 rebounds.

DeJuan Blair, San Antonio Spurs
When it comes to per-minute production, DeJuan Blair is a beast. He grabs more boards per minute than anyone in the NBA and he can score when he touches the ball. If he gets more minutes, watch out!

C Darko Milicic, New York Knicks
We promise, this is the last chance we will give Darko Milicic. The historic bust was traded to the Knicks in the offseason and he has a chance to earn plenty of playing time under Mike D’Antoni. He has enough skill to be a good fantasy basketball backup center.

PF Anthony Randolph, Golden State Warriors
While Anthony Randolph is quickly becoming a household name, he makes this list because he has superstar potential. He was awesome in summer league and if he can translate to the NBA, watch out!

SF Andres Nocioni, Sacramento Kings
After getting traded to the Kings last season, Andres Nocioni put up impressive stats. This year, there’s no reason for that to stop. Nocioni should play a lot of minutes and he’s talented enough to really help your fantasy squad.

SG Courtney Lee, New Jersey Nets
With the Magic last season, Courtney Lee showed glimpses of fantastic ability. This year, he’ll probably get tons of PT with the Nets. If that happens, you can expect him to produce.

PG Tyreke Evans, Sacramento Kings
Even though he’s a rookie, Tyreke Evans will likely win the starting point guard spot in Sacramento. His offensive game still needs work but he can really get to the line, which will help out your fantasy basketball team.

1. Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers
Griffin is very talented and a great athlete on top of that. He’s also entering a situation in need of a superstar. As long as the Clippers trade a few bigs to make room for him, Griffin should be very good his rookie year.

2. James Harden, Oklahoma City Thunder
Next to Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and Jeff Green, Harden will fit right in. He’ll likely start at shooting guard right away and provide the team with yet another young building block. For fantasy purposes, Harden should provide scoring, efficiency and good assist numbers.

3. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
No matter if he ends up with the Warriors or if he’ll be traded to the Suns (like the rumors indicate), Curry will land in a very good situation. Both of those teams like to run and shoot … and that fits right in with Curry’s game.

4. Tyreke Evans, Sacramento Kings
If Evans can win the point guard job in Sacramento, he could have fantasy value right away. It’s not a lock that he can play PG at the NBA level, so stay tuned.

5. Hasheem Thabeet, Memphis Grizzlies
Thabeet is raw and might not be able to play many minutes in the NBA yet but his shotblocking could make him valuable right away in the 2009-2010 fantasy basketball season.’
