Baron Davis opted out of his last year of his contract with the Golden State Warriors to become a free agent. His final year of his contract would have paid him around $17 million.
Davis opting out is somewhat of a surprise. Most experts thought Davis would collect the final year of his deal before hitting the open market next summer. Apparently, Davis has other ideas.

With the Memphis Tigers in the 2008 National Championship game, Chris Douglas-Roberts has seen his 2008 NBA Draft stock rise and rise. Coming into the tournament, Douglas-Roberts was seen as a second round pick. Currently, the shooting 6-foot-7 guard is being projected by NBA scouts to be picked in the mid to late first round.

When it comes to pure point guards, few in the 2008 NBA Draft class can match Darren Collison’s skills. Collison, who currently has UCLA in the Final Four, is a team-first point guard who can do it all.

The UCLA Bruins are making a push to the Final Four this season and a lot of that has to do with the playoff Russell Westbrook. While fellow guard Darren Collison gets a lot of attention, many scouts think that Westbrook actually has higher potential.
Westbrook is a 6-foot-3 combo guard who is mostly plays shooting guard at UCLA with Collison running the point. In a perfect world, Westbrook would get an opportunity to show that he can play point guard but with UCLA winning, he’s content to play off the ball.

While the UCLA Bruins have great guard play, Kevin Love is the player on the team that makes UCLA a legitimate championship contender. Love is a bruising low post player with a myriad of uniqueness skills.
