Vince Carter of the New Jersey Nets had a vintage dunk in a recent game. He caught the ball on the baseline and finished with a windmill dunk. You can watch video of the Vince Carter windmill dunk at the end of this entry.
Carter has had an interesting fantasy basketball season. At first, Carter came out of the gates playing great basketball. Then he slumped near the middle of the season. Recently, he’s been putting up much better numbers. As you could see in the video, he’s obviously feeling better.

Tracy McGrady Out for the Seasons – Microfracture

According to various reports, Tracy McGrady of the Houston Rockets will miss the rest of the NBA regular season. His troublesome knee, which never got healthy this season, will need microfracture surgery.
This is a devastating blow to the Rockets, who thought their trio of McGrady, Yao Ming and Ron Artest could win a championship. Now Houston will have to scramble to replace McGrady.
The person most likely to step into a bigger role is Artest. He may be asked to shoot a lot more and also become the team’s main playemaker. Yao should also see an increase in touches.

Vince Carter Injury Update

Vince Carter of the New Jersey Nets suffered a sprained ankle that forced him to miss a game on Friday night. The injury is severe enough that it may require surgery. Darrell Armstrong started in Carter’s place.
If the Nets are considering surgery for Carter, chances are his season is over. Carter had a mostly disappointing season, however he did play well in the last six weeks of the season. Surprisingly enough, he started playing well after Jason Kidd was traded.

Kidd has had a rough year shooting the ball, but recently he’s been struggling even more in that department. As a result, his scoring is dropping to dangerously low levels.
