The 2009 NBA Conference Finals are set. In the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Denver Nuggets. In the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Orlando Magic.

Lakers Headed to NBA Finals – Video

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the San Antonio Spurs in Game 100-92 to beat the Spurs 4-1 in the Western Conference Finals. The Lakers now advance to the NBA Final to play the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals.
2008 NBA MVP Kobe Bryant led the way with 39 points, as he once again proved he’s the best player in the world. He was ruthless in the fourth quarter and single-handedly sent the Spurs packing.
In the East, the Boston Celtics lead the Detroit Pistons 3-2. The Celtics will look to close it out on Friday in Detroit. …read more
Tiago Splitter Re-signs with Tau Ceramica

According to a report in a Brazilian publication, San Antonio Spurs 2007 draft pick Tiago Splitter has decided to re-sign with his Spanish team Tau Ceramica. Splitter, who was picked in the first round by the Spurs, had earlier said he expected to sign with the Spurs for the 2007-08 season.
This could be a big blow for the Spurs because Splitter has long been regarded as one of the best prospects in Europe. He’s a mobile center who is already a very good defender. His offense is solid but it remains unpolished.

You Can’t Stop Me! – Kobe Bryant Leads Lakers

Kobe Bryant led the Los Angeles Lakers as they defeated the Utah Jazz in Game 6 to advance to the Western Conference Finals. During the game, Kobe let the Utah crowd know that “You Can’t Guard Me!” Check the video below to see Kobe yelling to the crowd. Apparently, Kobe’s back injury is feeling a lot better.
In the Western Conference Finals, the Lakers will play either the New Orleans Hornets or the San Antonio Spurs. That Hornets and Spurs play their Game 7 on Monday.
