Tom Brady Injury Update – Fantasy Impact
Tom Brady’s injured ankle, which reportedly slowed him during New England’s Super Bowl loss against the New York Giants, is still bothering him. Brady in a recent interview said that he’s still feeling weak on the ankle and his mobility is limited. Yes, this is the same injury that had paparazzi scrambling to take pictures of Tom Brady and Gisele with Brady in a walking boot.
This is obviously not the news the Patriots wanted to hear about their star quarterback. Brady, who in 2007 had arguably the best season ever by an NFL quarterback, will take it easy during training camp until he’s 100%.
While this is somewhat concerning, his fantasy football status shouldn’t be affected too much. He’s still the no doubt number one quarterback in fantasy football. He’s still a first round pick. He likely won’t pass for 50 touchdowns again but he should have another amazing season.
Unless he re-injures his ankle, the injury should be totally fine by the time the regular season kicks off. In case anything disastrous happens, Matt Cassel is his backup.
