Although the Giants lost, it wasn’t due to Eli Manning. Peyton’s little brother finished with 391 passing yards and three touchdown passes.

RB Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans
There’s no doubt that Chris Johnson is the best player in fantasy football this season. He proved it again by scoring three more touchdowns in Week 14 while racking up the yardage.

WR Brandon Marshall, Denver Broncos
Not only was Brandon Marshall’s performance the best of the week, it was one of the best performances of all-time. He set an all-time record by catching 21 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns.

TE Dallas Clark, Indianapolis Colts
Even though Dallas Clark only had five catches for 43 yards, three of those five catches were for touchdowns. That made his fantasy owners very, very happy this week.

1. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Drew Brees is a machine right now. Going against the Falcons makes him a no-brainer number one.

2. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
The Bears on the road isn’t the greatest of matchups but Aaron Rodgers has proven to be elite.

3. Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts
The Broncos could make it difficult for Peyton Manning but he seems to play better when the situation is hard.

4. Kurt Warner, Arizona Cardinals
His recent concussion makes him a little bit risky but Kurt Warner has otherwise been rolling.

5. Tom Brady, New England Patriots
Carolina is one of the best pass defenses and Tom Brady is hurt. That said, he’s still very startable.

6. Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
Philip Rivers has been very consistent. He has ten touchdowns in his last five games and has nearly 700 yards in his last two contests.

7. Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
An injury risk with a dislocated non-throwing shoulder, Matt Schaub is a boom or bust this week.

8. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
If you start Tony Romo, you better hope he doesn’t remember that the calendar switched over to December.

9. Brett Favre, Minnesota Vikings
Brett Favre struggled last week and has a tough Bengals opponent this week.

10. Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Joe Flacco has been bad over the last month. But Detroit in Week 14? That should be gold.

With Matt Ryan unlikely to play, the New Orleans Saints should be feasting. Their defenses is built to produce in the fantasy world.

2. Baltimore Ravens
At home against the Lions? That’s music to a fantasy owner’s ears. The Ravens should put up points by the ton this week.

3. Tennessee Titans
The Titans are hosting the Rams and their improved defense will be on full display. The Rams are horrible when healthy. With Bulger injured? They are putrid.

4. New England Patriots
The Panthers have a good rushing attack but they are disaster in the passing game. The Patriots will likely take advantage of that.

5. New York Jets
Josh Freeman looks like he’s going to be a good QB down the line but a rookie against an aggressive defense like the Jets is a recipe for disaster.

Sanchez was injured in Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills. He was diagnosed with a sprained PCL. While he’s out this week, the Jets are hopeful that he can be back by Week 15.

In the fantasy football world, this news shouldn’t have much affect on your lineup. Sanchez isn’t consistent enough to be a fantasy football starter and Clemens won’t be any better. From this point forward, avoid starting a Jets QB and you’ll be better off.

On the season, Sanchez has 11 touchdowns, 17 interceptions and quarterback rating of 63.7. Clemens in his career has 5 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and a QB rating of 59.2. Stay far, far away.

Obviously, it’s time to waive him if he’s on your fantasy team. His usual backup, Ladell Betts, is also out for the season due to a knee injury. That leaves Rock Cartwright and Quinton Ganther as the team’s two healthy running backs.

Cartwright is currently the starter but don’t overlook Ganther. Last week against the New Orleans Saints he led the team in rushing. The Redskins may take a closer look at the 25-year-old since their playoff hopes are toast.

In dynasty fantasy football, it should be noted that Portis has started to talk retirement. If he struggles to return from his concussion, don’t be surprised if Portis decides to hang it up. Even though he’s only 28, he has taken a beating and his best days are almost definitely behind him.

QB Jason Campbell, Washington Redskins
Jason Campbell almost led the Redskins to a surprising win over the Saints. While he came up just short, Campbell had a very good fantasy day. He should be able to perform at a high level again versus the Raiders this week.

RB Ryan Moats, Houston Texans
If Steve Slaton misses another game, consider giving Ryan Moats a start on your fantasy team. He has a good matchup and, as we saw earlier this season, he’s an explosive player.

WR Davone Bess, Miami Dolphins
Davone Bess has had a ton of catches this season but he finally put it all together. He racked up 117 yards and got his first TD of the season. Expect for Bess to continue to be Miami’s lead WR.

TE David Thomas, Atlanta Falcons
If you need a home run, consider David Thomas of the Saints. They are facing a bad Saints pass defense and he’s had at least three catches in three of his last four outings.

QB Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys lost to the Giants but it wasn’t Tony Romo’s fault this time. He was 41-for-55 for 392 yards and three touchdowns. Romo just didn’t get enough help.

RB Jonathan Stewart, Carolina Panthers
With DeAngelo Williams out with an injury, Jonathan Stewart showed off his potential. On 26 carries he had 120 rushing yards and a touchdown. It’s safe to say he’s healthy and a strong play down the stretch.

WR Louis Murphy, Oakland Raiders
Who? Louis Murphy had four catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns to help the Raiders beat the Steelers. Don’t expect this — well, ever again — but the Raiders are definitely in better hands now with Bruce Gradkowski at QB.

TE Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Jason Witten had been quiet this season. He awoke from his slumber in Week 13. He had 14 catches for 156 yards. Considering he had 15 catches in his previous three games, his production was a welcome surprise for his fantasy football owners.

QB Brett Favre, Minnesota Vikings
Does Brett Favre not realize he’s supposed to be way over the hill? Apparently not. In Week 12, Favre was 32-48 for 392 yards and three touchdown passes.

RB Justin Forsett, Seattle Seahawks
With Julius Jones missing his second straight game, Justin Forsett took advantage. On 22 carries, the small running back had 130 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.

WR Miles Austin, Dallas Cowboys
It’s impossible to say Miles Austin is a fluke at this point. On Thanksgiving, Austin had seven catches for 145 yards and one touchdown against the Raiders.

TE Antonio Gates, San Diego Padres
Proving he’s still very much elite, Antonio Gates had seven catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Going forward, Gates would be difficult to bet against.

Instead, Dennis Dixon will be the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The backup in Pittsburgh is Charlie Batch — but he too is injured. That leaves the job to Dixon, who has only thrown one pass in his NFL career.

Dixon is best known for his years at Oregon, where the athletic 6-foot-3 quarterback found himself in the Heisman talk a number of times. But right now, that Heisman talk is a long ways away. Instead, he faces a stout Ravens defense on the road in the middle of a ferocious playoff race. Good luck, Dennis.

For fantasy football purposes, stay far, far away from Dixon. He’s in an extremely tough situation. If he throws for more than one TD or gets more than 200 yards passing, I’d be shocked. He’s likely to have a very rough outing that could hurt your fantasy team more than help.

For fantasy football owners who have Peterson on your team, this news had to leave you feeling sick. The good news, however, is that the Vikings coaching staff is saying that they expect their star to suit up and play in Week 12.

On the season, Peterson has 999 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. He also has 25 receptions for 215 yards. In his career, he’s always gotten at least 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns. In other words, he’s a consistent fantasy football beast.

If Peterson can’t play in Week 12, he’d be replaced by Chester Taylor. For fantasy owners, Taylor is a solid start. He’s one of the better backup running backs in the NFL and should provide good production against a relatively weak Bears defense.
