Marshawn Lynch Arrested - Fantasy Analysis
February 19, 2009 by admin
Filed under 2009 fantasy football, NFL News, Off the Field
Marshawn Lynch, the starting running back for the Buffalo Bills, was recently arrested and has been charged with three misdemeanors. The three misdemeanors are all gun-related.
While it appears as if he has avoided any harsh punishment from the legal system, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is likely to look at the situation. Considering that Lynch has had past brushes with the law, Goodell probably won’t be too kind to Lynch. A suspension of at least a couple of games seems likely.
All things being equal, Lynch is a very good prospect for the 2009 fantasy football season. He has had two solid seasons and with the overall offense improving, Lynch’s numbers should also improve.
Right now, before any suspensions, Lynch is probably an early second round pick in most 2009 fantasy drafts. If he gets suspended, he could drop to the end of the second round or possibly the beginning of the third.

Tom Brady Surfing? Tom Brady Pictures

Apparently, Tom Brady’s ankle is feeling better. Earlier this offseason, Brady said he was still injured and not feeling 100%. Brady was originally hurt before last season’s Super Bowl, in which the New England Patriots lost to the New York Giants.
To prove Brady’s ankle is feeling better, you can see this picture of Brady surfing in Costa Rica. In another picture, Brady can be seen with a surf board. Oh and that female with him is none other than his girlfriend — Brazilian supermodel Gisele.
No matter what Brady decides to do in the offseason, he enters the 2008 fantasy football season as the number one ranked quarterback. Last season he had 50 touchdown passes and while he likely won’t do that again, he should have another big season.

Brady will try to get back to the Super Bowl and win in 2008.

Travis Henry Weed - Positive Drug Test
July 11, 2008 by admin
Filed under NFL Player Analysis, Off the Field
Travis Henry, the skilled running back who last played for the Denver Broncos, has reportedly failed yet another drug test. Henry was released by the Broncos earlier in the offseason and now it looks like he’s in much bigger trouble.
According to the report, Henry tested positive for marijuana in May. Although he found out, he kept the information from the Broncos. A few weeks later, the Broncos waived him.
If this report is true, Henry’s NFL career is likely over. He all but certainly will get suspended for a year. Even if he is let back into the league, he’ll be on the other side of 30.
Henry, at his best, was a fantasy football power. Now if he’s on your fantasy football dynasty team, it’s safe to release him. He won’t be playing football anytime soon.
The Broncos will likely turn to Michael Pittman, Selvin Young, Mike Bell, Andre Hall or Ryan Torain at running back in 2008. Denver, like always, has plenty of options at that position — any of which could turn into a fantasy football stud.

Is Travis Henry’s career over?

Tony Gonzalez has made a lot of clutch plays in his day. However, he might have come up with his clutchest play of all while dining at a steak restaurant.
Ken Hunter was eating dinner at a Huntington Beach, California steakhouse when he started to choke on a peace of meat. With his girlfriend panicking and Hunter himself turning blue, Gonzalez sprung into action to perform the Heimlich Maneuver. Thankfully, the piece of steak that was lodged in Hunter’s throat flew out and Gonzalez had saved the day.
Gonazalez, besides being a top ten fantasy tight end, is now a life saver.
