The Raiders will be in Big D. That should translate for a big game for the the Cowboys’ big, bruising running back.

WR Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions
The only thing that slows down Calvin Johnson is injuries. If he’s playing, start him with confidence. But watch out, he’s currently listed as questionable.

TE Kevin Boss, New York Giants
Kevin Boss is on fire. Over the last three weeks, he has four touchdowns. Another touchdown on Thanksgiving wouldn’t be much of a shock.

The Colts will be going up against Alex Smith and the 49ers this week. Smith may be good but there’s a good chance that he’ll make at least a few mistakes.

4. Arizona Cardinals
Last season, the Cardinals defense improved as the season went along. That appears like it’ll be true again this season. In Week 8, they are at home against the mistake-prone Panthers.

Todd Heap, Baltimore Ravens
Not too long ago, Todd Heap was one of the best fantasy tight ends in the entire NFL. This year, he started slow and then slowly started to produce better once Joe Flacco got comfortable with him. This week he doesn’t have a high ceiling but he should see at least a few passes thrown his way.

LJ Smith, Philadelphia Eagles
Although Celek has been the more productive tight end as of late, don’t forget about LJ Smith. He’s talented, he has experience and he’s always seemingly been a McNabb favorite. Around the goal line, the Eagles have a tendency to look at their tight ends — which makes Smith a decent enough start.

QB Tom Brady, New England Patriots
Brady had perhaps the best season ever by an NFL quarterback. This week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Patriots will depend on his arm to lead the team to victory. The Jaguars have a tough defense, especially against the run. Expect Brady to be throwing early and often, finishing with at least two touchdown passes.

RB LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers
The Chargers will be looking to get the ball to Tomlinson early and often. If Antonio Gates likely out with an injured toe, Tomlinson will be asked to carry an even larger than usual load. Although the Colts have a very potent defense, Tomlinson is the best running back in the business. In fantasy football, if you can start Tomlinson, you start him – no questions asked.

WR Randy Moss, New England Patriots
When Brady is slinging passes around the field of play, his favorite target will be Moss. Moss had a monster year and will be looking to carry that momentum into the playoffs. Against the Jaguars, Moss will most likely run a number of deep routes. Expect Brady and Moss to hookup for at least one touchdown this week.

TE Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Witten joined Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson in Mexico during the Cowboys’ week off. That could be a good omen this week as Romo will likely look for Witten a lot, even if Terrell Owens is healthy to play. Witten has the toughness to thrive in the playoffs and he should do well this week – unless, of course, there is basis to the rumors of a Jessica Simpson Curse.

While the Colts don’t need to win this game, that doesn’t mean that Sorgi and the offense are going to lay down.

RB Darren Sproles, San Diego Chargers
Look for the Chargers to dispose of the Oakland Raiders quickly and for Sproles to get plenty of carries. Sproles has shown to be an explosive runner who is very capable of breaking off a big run. If he has ten carries against the porous Raiders run defense, look for him to produce very nicely.

WR Kevin Walter, Houston Texans
Walter has touchdowns in two out of his last three games and should get plenty of playing time this week. Even though the Texans have no shot at the playoffs, they still want to end their season on a high note. With a good outing in Week 17, Walter could lock up a starting spot on the Texans last season.

TE Bryan Fletcher, Indianapolis Colts
Fletcher is one of the many backups that should see time for the Colts. Fletcher has always been a good pass catching tight end. With the amount of playing time he’ll see in this game, there’s a good chance that he’ll end up with a touchdown.

If you are in a league that plays through Week 17, a couple points here and there from your kicker or D might make a difference in a fantasy football championship. Here are some suggestions who you should play.

K Rob Bironas, Tennessee Titans
The Titans will be trying to win this game. To beat the Indianapolis Colts, they will probably rely on Bironas’ leg. There’s a good chance that Bironas has at least a couple field goals this week. The Colts don’t have much to play for and will likely sit their big names for much of the game.

K Josh Brown, Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks have already clinched their division but their opponent is so bad this week they should still be able to move the ball, even if they play all backups. The Atlanta Falcons are just a disaster right now. If Seneca Wallace or even Charlie Frye play quarterback, they should be able to get Brown into field goal range.

D Washington Redskins
The Redskins need to win to get into the playoffs. Going against the Dallas Cowboys, they will rely on their defense to play well. The good news for the Redskins is that the Cowboys will not only be without Terrell Owens, but most likely a number of other starters who will no doubt sit out as Dallas has clinched their spot in the playoffs.

D Cincinnati Bengals
Although the Bengals have long been out of the playoff race, they will be playing for pride this week. Going up against the Miami Dolphins, the Bengals will try to get a win. The Dolphins, who already got their victory to stay out of the record books, will just be looking to end their miserable season. Look for the Bengals to make some big plays on defense.

The Jaguars have a sound offense and Scobee has been fine since missing most of the beginning of the season with an injury.

K David Akers, Philadelphia Eagles
Akers is a solid veteran kicker who has been good for a number of years. This year he hasn’t been as explosive as usual but he should see some action in Week 16. Against the defense of the New Orleans Saints, the Eagles shouldn’t have too much trouble getting into field goal range. Akers has been a little shaky recently but he should be good for some points this week.

D Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals have lost three out of their final four games. While they played really well to begin the season, the Cardinals have struggled as of late. That said, they should be fine this weekend against the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have been horrible as of late and the Cardinals should be able to take advantage.

D Detroit Lions
The Lions were talking playoffs not too long ago. Now, after six consecutive losses, those previous talks look humorous. The Lions in the playoffs? Who were they kidding? However, this week, the Kansas City Chiefs come to town. With Brodie Croyle at quarterback for the Chiefs, the Lions should be able to make some plays defensively.

Collins stats from last week look horrible. He was only 8 for 25 passing the ball and finished without a touchdown pass. However, it must be noted that the heavy wins made it extremely hard to pass the ball. And since Collins has a weak arm, the winded really affected him. This week, Collins will be playing against the Minnesota Vikings in a dome. Don’t expect a lot of passing yard but he should be able to throw for a touchdown or two.

RB Kenny Watson, Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals backfield has been hard to figure out the last couple months. With Watson, Rudi Johnson and Dede Dorsey all getting carries, it’s tough to figure out who will be carrying the load that week. This week, with the Bengals against the Browns, Watson is a decent start if you are desperate. He should get about ten carries and has a decent shot at a touchdown.

WR Donte Stallworth, New England Patriots
Stallworth has been really quiet as of late. In the last two weeks, he has one catch. It seems as if he’s fallen out of favor with the Patriots. That said, the Patriots have a good matchup this week against the Miami Dolphins and Stallworth already has a touchdown this year against the Dolphins. If he’s on the waiver wire and you need a starter, consider picking him up.

TE Kevin Boss, New York Giants
With Jeremy Shockey out for the season with a broken fibula, Boss is now in charge of the tight end position for the Giants. He’s a pretty good athlete, has nice hands and decent enough speed. Don’t expect a lot of catches out of him but he could be a end zone target for Eli Manning.

K Ryan Longwell, Minnesota Vikings – While it’s tough to bank on offensive production out of the Vikings, this week should be a good week for Longwell. With Tavaris Jackson playing well and Chester Taylor and Adrian Peterson healthy, the Vikings’ offense is better than it’s been all year. Going up against the Chicago Bears with Kyle Orton at the helm, this promises to be a field goal battle. Expect at least two field goals from Longwell this week.

K Martin Gramatica, New Orleans Saints – With Olindo Mare out for the season with a dislocated hip, the Saints signed Gramatica to handle their kicking duties for the rest of the season. And honestly, this move is a big improvement for the Saints. Mare was only 10-for-17 on field goals this year and was virtually unstartable in the fantasy world. Gramatica, on the other hand, can’t be any worse and could flourish in an offense that is moving the ball rather well right now.

D New Orleans Saints – The Saints D has been playing better as of late. They still aren’t great at stopping other teams, but they are capable of making a big play at any moment. Against the Arizona Cardinals this weekend, they’ll have a couple shots to get a big play. While the Cardinals are decent offensively, they’re banged up and not firing on all cylinders. The Saints may be able to take advantage.

D Miami Dolphins - If you want a high risk, high reward defense this week, look at the Dolphins. Sure, they are winless. Sure, they are horrible. However, this week they are taking on the Ravens. No team has ever gone 0-16 and this looks to be the Dolphins best shot to win a game. Cleo Lemon is back at quarterback, which will help the offense. The defense is going up against a very average offense that due for a major letdown.

QB Tavaris Jackson, Minnesota Vikings – Jackson had been horrible for much of the season but has suddenly put together three strong games. He has four touchdowns and only one interception over the last three games, with a quarterback rating of well over 100. If you are in need of a quarterback off of the waiver wire, look at picking up Jackson.

RB Kenton Keith, Indianapolis Colts - The Colts are taking on the Raiders this week and that means there will be plenty of rushing yards to go around. While Joseph Addai will get most of those yards, there should be plenty left over for Keith. Keith also has a better than average shot of finding his way into the end zone if this game gets lopsided. Keith is a really good yet really sneaky play this week.

WR Arnaz Battle, San Francisco 49ers - With new quarterback Shaun Hill at the reins, Battle might actually be worth starting now. Hill showed a pretty good ability to pass the ball and run the Niners’ offense in his stint against the Vikings last week. Since Battle is the leading receiver on the Niners, he is in line to produce the most if San Francisco can ever start rolling offensively. This week against the Cincinnati Bengals might be their last chance to show some life.

TE Greg Olsen, Chicago Bears – Olsen has been quiet as of late after having a string of productive games. The problem mostly was Rex Grossman preferred Desmond Clark. Now that Kyle Orton is starting for the Bears, there’s a chance that Olsen could become a favored target. While it’s a risky start because Orton hasn’t done anything this year and Olsen has been cold, it’s worth the risk if your options are limited.
