Underrated Fantasy Power Forwards

Walter Herrmann, Charlotte Bobcats
Herrmann is currently a sleeper in drafts, but that could change when fantasy basketball owners figure out how he’s in a very good position to produce this season. With Sean May out for the season, Herrmann could very well end up starting at power forward. In 12 games as a starter last year, Herrmann averaged 19.6 points and 5.7 rebounds, while shooting nearly 60% from the field and 50% from three-point land. Those are staggering numbers for a player you can select deep in a fantasy draft.

Check out this mix video of Herrmann …

Nene, Denver Nuggets
Nene isn’t getting much love in fantasy drafts and it’s tough to understand why that’s the case. Nene was a beast last year in the second half of the season. He understandably started off slow after missing all of the previous season with a torn ACL. By the time the playoffs came around, Nene produced very nicely against a tough Spurs front line. As a starter, Nene last year averaged 14.2 points and 8.2 rebounds. You can expect those numbers for an entire season this year.

Channing Frye, Portland Trailblazers
Frye is a player who is going undrafted in some fantasy drafts. While he did have a poor season last year with the Knicks, he still has loads of potential. He’s an active bigman with a nice touch from the outside. He can rebound and block shots. With Greg Oden out injured and Zach Randolph out of the picture, there’s a good chance that Frye has a bounce back year in Portland.
