The craftsmanship is amazing, I must say! The baby blue eyes are made of buttons and the stitchings on it just made it perfect. It even has a tiny little tail stitching at the back!

Augh. So cute!

Here’s another cute 4-port USB Hub, though I don’t quite get it why it’s still called an octopus as it only has 4 USB tentacles.
Quadropus would be more fitting, in my opinion.
Hehehe.
The Octopus Hub comes in three colors: purple, black and white

While self-charging cellphones are still a thing of the near-future (give it around 3 to 5 years, maybe), wireless chargers for gadgets are slowly entering the industry.

Take the WildCharger for example. This technology (wire-free charging solution) has actually been around for around a year already. The problem before was, it was only compatible with the Motorola Razr V3.

But now, it can be used with a wide variety of phone models from all major manufacturers like Nokia.

And just recently, WildCharge has released WildCharge Skins for the iPhone and iPod Touch!

WildCharge Skins are durable, protective, form-fitting cases that when placed on the WildCharger Pad, transfer wire-free power from the Pad to the device inside the skin. The soft cases provide the same protection consumers already enjoy from traditional skins, but have the added value and convenience of enabling a wire-free charge. - WildCharge

With this tie up with Apple, I’m guessing wireless charging will be a little more mainstream now since practically everyone owns an iPhone or an iPod Touch.

Where to buy: WildCharge

Want to see a video on how the WildCharger works?
Ooooh.

Here’s a nifty little gadget internet addicts (especially Facebook addicts) would loooove to own.

Honestly, I probably have a Facebook addiction. SWEAR! I edit my Facebook status a couple gazillion times a day, spend a lot of time commenting on my friend’s posts, stalking checking up on people, checking out their photos, playing Restaurant City… oh, the list goes on and on and on!

Anyway, this little gadget I’m talking about is the Arimaz’s MyDeskFriend. It’s a little robot penguin (hello, robot penguin, that alone is like geek chic!) that can be integrated into your Facebook profile.

There’s apparently going to be a Facebook game or app that you use to feed the or play with the penguin, think Tamagotchi. Overtime, your MyDeskFriend develops a personality. Cool, huh? Not only that, the penguin actually talks! It can read your Facebook messages, tell you if your friends go online and more!

And guess what? It can also move around your desk!

I’m actually pretty intrigued about this gadget and can’t wait for it when it goes on sale this coming September.

For the meantime, check out this video!

With that in mind, do you think point and shoot cameras will eventually become extinct? Or if not extinct, the sales will probably plummet, don’t you think?

Most phones nowadays have atleast 3MP cameras already. I’m sure in a year or two, it won’t be surprising if phones carry atleast 5MP (or 8MP, even!) cameras. If that’s the case, why would you want to own a point-and-shoot camera? The prices are practically the same and if you really think about it, you’re getting more of your money’s worth since you’re getting a phone and camera in one.

And I’m sure by next year, the camera features of phone cameras will definitely be better, like better flash, better focusing, better image sensor, etc.

Whatcha think?

Even though most laptops nowadays have a trackpad, I still prefer to use a mouse.

For one thing, it’s very hard to play WoW using a trackpad, hehe. Though I have a friend who uses the trackpad to play WoW and for the life of me, I’m still amazed with how he can do it.

Anyway, here’s a cute, multi-purpose laptop sleeve that mouse-using laptop owners might want to have.

This cute little laptop sleeve from Artmu doubles as a mouse pad. Just unzip, set your laptop on one side and there you go!

Comes in variety of designs and colors.

According to Cnet, the Nokia Research Center in Cambridge, England is working on a prototype of a self-charging cellphone.
Oooh. Sounds really awesome, don’t you think?
For one thing, you’ll never worry about your phone dying on your while on an important phone call. So how does it work?

According to Cnet, the Nokia Research Center in Cambridge, England is working on a prototype of a self-charging cellphone.

Oooh. Sounds really awesome, don’t you think?

For one thing, you’ll never worry about your phone dying on your while on an important phone call. So how does it work?

The system collects energy from ambient radio waves emitted by antennas, TV masts, Wi-Fi transmitters, and the like. Like RFID tags, the Nokia phones would catch radio waves across a range of frequencies, harnessing them for power.

Nokia’s goal is to get cell phones to harvest about 50 milliwatts of power. Currently the prototypes are able to harvest up to 5 milliwatts, but at least 20 milliwatts is needed to keep phones running in standby mode indefinitely without the need for a recharge - Cnet

So what do you guys think of a self-charging cellphone?
