Artmu Laptop Sleeve With Built-In Mouse Pad

Even though most laptops nowadays have a trackpad, I still prefer to use a mouse.
For one thing, it’s very hard to play WoW using a trackpad, hehe. Though I have a friend who uses the trackpad to play WoW and for the life of me, I’m still amazed with how he can do it.
Anyway, here’s a cute, multi-purpose laptop sleeve that mouse-using laptop owners might want to have.
This cute little laptop sleeve from Artmu doubles as a mouse pad. Just unzip, set your laptop on one side and there you go!
Comes in variety of designs and colors.

Self-Charging Cellphone: Whatcha Think?

According to Cnet, the Nokia Research Center in Cambridge, England is working on a prototype of a self-charging cellphone.
Oooh. Sounds really awesome, don’t you think?
For one thing, you’ll never worry about your phone dying on your while on an important phone call. So how does it work?
The system collects energy from ambient radio waves emitted by antennas, TV masts, Wi-Fi transmitters, and the like. Like RFID tags, the Nokia phones would catch radio waves across a range of frequencies, harnessing them for power.
Nokia’s goal is to get cell phones to harvest about 50 milliwatts of power. Currently the prototypes are able to harvest up to 5 milliwatts, but at least 20 milliwatts is needed to keep phones running in standby mode indefinitely without the need for a recharge - Cnet
So what do you guys think of a self-charging cellphone?

Heart 4-Port USB Hub Is Cute!

I used to wonder why people would buy those 4 port USB Hubs. I never really had any use when for extra USB slots when I was still using my PC desktop years ago.
Now that I own a MacBook Pro that only has 2 USB slots, I now realize why people opt to buy 4-Port USB Hubs. Especially nowadays when anything and everything can be connected via the USB!
There’s so many cute 4-Port USB Hubs around, and I’ll probably add this Heart 4-Port USB Hub to my list of things to buy! A little too late for Valentine’s though!
Available in yellow, blue and pink.

Do You Tweet In The Bathroom?
June 22, 2009 by Lia Espina

Ok, let’s admit it. Some of us are pretty addicted to tweeting, so addicted that not only do we tweet every little thing we do, we probably tweet at every place we go.
I, for one, am not really addicted to Twitter (as I prefer Plurk), but seriously, I don’t think I’ve Plurked or Twittered while I’m in the bathroom while taking a shower or doing the deed.
The closest thing I’ve done is probably plurked or twittered something like, “Going to take a shower!” or “I feel like pooping.” Hahaha.
But nothing like, “I’m in the toilet taking a dump!” kind of thing.
Anyway, we shouldn’t really Twitter in the bathroom. You wouldn’t want to end up like Maria Barbu, a 17 year old Romanian girl who died while trying to Twitter in the bathroom. She was apparently in the tub, using her laptop or whatever and most probably tried to plug in her charger, or something.
Yaiks.
Tsk, tsk. We all know that technology and water don’t mix. (Usually!)

Wishing all the Dads out there a very happy Father’s Day!
So what did you get your Dad for Father’s Day?
My dad’s a golf fanatic so I gave him a golf kit that includes a holster for golf balls and tees that you can clip on your belt and a Swiss knife looking thing for golf.
And then for my fiance’s dad, we gave him a Fisher Space Pen! A pen that writes on anything and everywhere! Even underwater!
So what did you guys get for the Dads in your life?
Cellphone Biters Are Cute!

I went around the mall today looking for a Father’s Day gift for the Dads in my life. (A little more on that tomorrow, when I’ve given them their gifts!)
Anyway, so I was going around the mall when I saw these really cute, shiny accessories on display. I thought they were charm bracelets but when I looked more closely (I unfortunately don’t have 20/20 eye vision, haha), they were cellphone accessories of some sort!
They’re called Cellphone Biters (as you can see from the photos) and they simply help you keep your cellphone in place inside your bag, so you don’t have to dig in your purse. And it also works as a bag accessory to add some oomph to your bags.
I love toting around huge bags and more often than not, you’ll see me digging inside for my keys, my cellphone, my wallet, lipgloss or whatever.
These Cellphone Biters would be great to have! It’ll save you time looking for your stuff!
So anyway, if you’re from the Philippines, you can get these Cellphone Biters at Rustan’s Essences for around Php 500.00.
Unfortunately, I can’t find a website that sells these Cellphone Biters. Just the key version which are called Key Biters.

Geek Gift Idea: Just One More Level…

Between me and my fiance, I’m probably the one saying the phrase, “Just one more level…”
Hahahaha.
But chances are, if you’re female and you have a gamer boyfriend/husband/significant other, you’re probably sick and tired of hearing him say that over and over.
Just give him this shirt to make life a little easier. If you see him wearing this shirt, you can just roll your eyes at him, give him an evil glare and stomp off, haha.
Or, you know what they say, “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!”

I still can’t get over the fact that I haven’t seen Wolverine the Movie.
I’m such a loser! Hahaha. But I heard I didn’t miss much anyway since my friends have been telling me that the movie’s so-so. (Wolverine loyalists, please don’t eat me!)
Anyway, here’s a nice gift idea for your significant others who are comic/super hero obsessed. There’s a bunch of other designs on the online store, like Punisher or Spiderman so you might want to check it out.

iPhone Stencil For the iPhone Obsessed!
June 17, 2009 by Lia Espina

You’re probably iPhone obsessed if all you do is doodle little iPhones on your notebooks, scratch papers or any surface that can be written on. If you draw life-size iPhones and pretend they’re real iPhones, I think it’s a sign that you should run to the nearest Apple store, buy one and get over the obsession already.
But let’s say you can’t afford one at the moment and you just have to settle for your life-size iPhone drawings, then might as well get this iPhone Stencil Kit to make your iPhone drawings a little more realistic and precise, haha.
On a more serious note, if you’re an iPhone Application developer, this is going to help you a lot in designing the UI and stuff.
The kit comes with an iPhone stainless steel stencil, a mechanical pencil, Design Commission stickers and a .PDF lettersized paper template.

Quarterlife.com: Not Just An Internet Drama

I’m not sure if you’ve heard of this TV series called “Quarter Life”. It actually started as a web series/internet drama with around 30+ episodes and ended up being compressed into 6 episodes for the TV version.
Anyway, the story revolves around people and their daily issues and they create vlogs (video blogs) about it. It’s actually quite interesting! And one of the characters, Jed (aka Scott Michael Foster) is just sooooooooooo hot!!!! *drool*
And apparently, the Quarterlife website is also social network for creative people. It’s a place where you can express your art thru videos, music, poetry etc! And ofcourse, there’s a forum where you can share your ideas and even a classified section for jobs, etc.
I know YouTube is the best place to share videos but if you’re looking for a more community-based website, then Quarterlife.com would be a great option.
Hmmmm, ok, well…
OK, FINE! This post is just a sorry excuse to tell people how HOT Scott Michael Foster is, bwahahaha.
