A friend of mine pointed out this really cool and useful website to me the other day.
ZYB.com creates a back up of your mobile phone contacts online!
This is definitely most useful when you purchase a new mobile phone and you want to transfer your old contacts and calendar entries into your new phone. Contact-transferring is really a hassle especially when you’re transferring contacts from phones of different models and brands.
Anyway, ZYB.com is also a mobile social network so you can actually share your contacts to your friends who are using ZYB.com as well. I actually find it weird to share your mobile phone contacts to other people, but they, if it works, it works!
Your phone needs to be either WiFi-enabled or 3G enabled to be able to use ZYB’s service.
I’ve actually tried using it, but I seem to be having a hard time transferring the contacts online, but I’m not sure whether it’s my phone’s fault, my internet settings on the phone or ZYB’s. Argh, I hope you have better luck than I do. I really want to be able to use ZYB!

will check it out! right now i am using the free services from http://mail2web.com which has OWA [outlook web access], email aggregation/push. i think this one requires activesync though.
Tried it before, but it didn’t work for me either.
A friend of mine successfully transferred his contacts online.. hmm…
Hmm.. looks interesting.. It doesn’t choose a certain mobile brand over another?
@Anna, as long as your phone model is in their list of supported models, it should work.
Their list seems a bit complete, i think.
You can try ClickOVA - they are similar to ZYB in the sense that they will backup your contacts but ClickOVA will also backup your photos and videos on your camera phone. They are compatible with pretty much any phone and have an automatic upload system that you program to upload any new numbers, photos or videos. I have mine set once a day and haven’t had any problems with it. I’m even able to upload my pictures to flickr and facebook and my videos to youtube. Oh and its FREE!
