2008-2009 NHL Season Will Open in Europe

On Thursday, the NHL released the new schedule for the 2008-2009 season and for the second year in a row, it will open in Europe.
The Pittsburgh Penguins will battle the Ottawa Senators in two games in Stockholm, Sweden (October 4 & 5) while the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Rangers face off in Prague, Czech Republic on the same days.
Should be interesting… I know some of you enjoyed it and I understand that it’s nice for our international fans but I really did not like it.
