Tonight, the 2008 NHL Awards took place in Toronto and it was a lot of fun. It sped right along and I really enjoyed seeing everyone all dressed up. It was especially great to see Gordie Howe win the NHL’s very first “Lifetime Achievement Award.” Here’s the list of winners:
- Lester B. Pearson – Alexander Ovechkin (Washington Capitals)
- William M. Jennings – Dominik Hasek and Chris Osgood (Detroit Red Wings)
- Frank J. Selke – Pavel Datsyuk (Detroit Red Wings)
- King Clancy Memorial – Vincent Lecavalier
- Bill Masterton Memorial – Jason Blake (Toronto Maple Leafs)
- Lady Bing Memorial – Pavel Datsyuk (Detroit Red Wings)
- Jack Adams – Bruce Boudreau (Washington Capitals)
- Calder Memorial – Patrick Kane (Chicago Blackhawks)
- Lifetime Achievement Award – Gordie Howe
- James Norris – Nicklas Lindstrom
- Vezina Trophy – Martin Brodeur (New Jersey Devils)
- Hart Trophy – Alexander Ovechkin (Washington Capitals)

The nhl awards was awsome.they shoud give best goal in wich my fav player rick nash would have won
I think Evgeni Malkin should’ve won the hart trophy. He really stepped up and played his game when Crosby was hurt.
