The Montreal Canadiens won their first home game of the 2008 Stanley Cup semifinals against the Colorado Avalanche. The Montreal police beefed up security since there was so much rioting after the Habs won an exciting game 7 during the quarterfinals. Fortunately, things were relatively low-key after the 4-3 victory. Here is the scoring summary:
PHI: Umberger, R. (13:15 in 1st), Dowd, J. (16:49 in 1st), Lupul, J. (PPG, 00:19 in 3rd)
MTL: Kostitsyn, A. (09:44 in 2nd), Kovalev, A. (SHG, 16:03 in 2nd), Kovalev, A. (PPG, 19:31 in 3rd), Kostopoulos, T. (00:48 in 1st OT)
Here are the highlights:

Umm. Not only is that inaccurate, but impossible. The Montreal Canadiens are in the Eastern Conference, while the Avalance are in the Western. Therefore, it’s not even possible that they could play each other in the semi finals, only the finals.
The Canadiens beat out the Bruins, and rioting followed that night.
