Hockey Beat

2008 Stanley Cup Semifinals – Flyers @ Canadiens Game 2

The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Montreal Canadiens at home at one of my favorite hockey arenas, the Bell Centre during game 2.  I think the win shocked the Habs.  Montreal goaltender, Carey Price, also voiced his disapproval of Umberger’s second goal which he felt involved a little goalie interference (watch the highlights and judge for yourself).  Here’s the scoring summary:

PHI: Umberger, R. (05:53 in 1st), Carter, J. (PPG, 08:39 in 1st), Briere, D. (13:33 in 2nd), Umberger, R. (17:39 in 3rd)

MTL: Koivu, S. (PPG, 16:18 in 1st), Markov, A. (01:26 in 3rd)
