The NHL and commissioner, Gary Bettman, have suspended Henry Samueli, the owner of the Anaheim Ducks, until further notice in light of his admission of guilt over accusations that he made a false statement to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
While he awaits sentencing from the U.S. Federal District Court, he is prohibited from having anything to do with the Ducks and, in the meantime, the club will be managed by its’ alternate governor, Michael Schulman.
Sentencing is scheduled for August 18, 2008.
