Barry Melrose to Be Named Tampa Coach

I am absolutely thrilled that the rumors about Barry Melrose being named the new head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning seem to be true! I’ve been a big fan of the Melrose Line on ESPN and, even though it’s been a while since he was behind the bench, the man still knows what he’s talking about and I think a little time watching all of the other teams as a commentator can be a real bonus.
With the addition of Steven Stamkos from the NHL Draft and an almost secured lifetime deal with Vincent Lecavalier, the Bolts just might be on the road back to Stanley next season. We’ll see…
